This around the corner offload that Sione is developing could be handy in the future if we can get anyone to run off a hip, ever.

Billy Slater would be nice. Seriously if Ponga is going to do Watson's ball playing, then Watson needs to be tracking Sione's inside shoulder constantly.

2nd game I've left early this year... if only anyone in the team besides Ponga was actually worth sitting in that freezing f**king wind for. Worst kicking game ever?
Too many plodders in the team with our injuries.

Ffs. We never offload. The 3 offloads we’ve done today have gone straight to Melbourne players

This should be Watson's job for sure. He shiuld be constantly sniffing for offloads. Sione is an obvious one to follow too, because he very regularly gets his nose through the line.

This has been a very hard game to watch. Melbourne turned up to complete sets and basically just let us implode in front of them.

The irony of the end of the game.

Our second rower puts in the best kick of the game with 20 seconds remaining.

Terrible with the ball today, 65% completions, not gonna beat anybody with that, let alone Storm.
Write this game off like the Sharks game.
Next 3 games against dogs, Parra and Titans, if we don’t win all 3 well and get some confidence (and hopefully Pearce back) we are no chance of top 8.

Now we've got Bulldogs, Eels & Titans at home, with a week off either side of the Bulldogs game. They said today Pearce is aiming to play against the Dogs, if not he'll return against Parra. These next 3 games are all must wins. No if's, and's or but's. No moral victories.

Any chance of the 8 went with the calamity at Cbus v Titans.

Hoping we can jag 2 wins over the remaining rounds.

Bit frustrating. We just shot ourselves in the foot far too often, either just dropping easy balls or overplaying our hand. Should remember that today isn't the norm, we're one of the (I think maybe even the best) when it comes to errors; it makes today more frustrating to watch but it's unlikely going to remain a common theme.

We need Pearce back. Cogger doesn't provide anything good for the side. His kicking game is woeful, our attacking structures rely around Ponga who faded out today probably due to expecting to carry our attack more than he ever should. Our players look lost, they don't know where to be, don't know what to do when they get the ball etc. That's what Cogger should be assisting with but he doesn't. Good luck to the Bulldogs; imagine thinking that Cogger is going to be a better option than their current halves.

I think his presence in general will really lift the side. He was just as influential as Ponga in the opening two months of the season. Hopefully he does come back in the Bulldogs game.

But I'm going to give the side some credit. Storm didn't show up half arsed and they didn't show up with no intention. Our defensive effort on the goal line was tremendous and to leak what? 4 tries? Given the amount of ball they had and the opportunities we constantly presented them, it's a good effort.

Also, Top 8 was never our goal for this year. We shouldn't be disappointed or frustrated if we can't make it because it should never have been the expectation. I think we can finish the season strong and make a good case for 2019 but yeah, lets not build our expectation for the side up to that point. It's only going to lead to more frustration and some pretty laughable shit takes here on the forums.
