I thought the first 25mins were bad for both sides, but then we found some groove and kicked on, certainly something they can work on.

I thought backs played well, Bula was a huge difference for us, from last week.

Luai and Galvin still a work in progress, but certainly a good team effort.

Special mention to To'a, thought he went well for his first game back in the top grad after a long lay off.

That was awesome. I'm trying to figure out my 3, 2, 1 and it's hard.

May is a premier prop. I don't think we've had a forward as good as him since Ellis. They play different roles and have different games but he is a quality player.

The rest of the forwards were all good as well.

Our back 3 were huge. Bula is a quality fullback. He isn't top tier yet but he is good. Turuva and Skelton are awesome players. To'a is our best centre by far. I hope he isn't injured. He has the zip to create something. Doueihi was great. Kicking goals, defending well and coming up with some quality runs.

Api wasn't great but TDS was on fire. Luai was really good and Galvin had a good game.

We have a good squad. A bunch of forwards who can do the job. Our spine is quality. Galvin is probably the weakest link and he can play. We also have Latu as a back-up.

The injuries may be a problem though. Bula and To'a make a massive difference to our attack and probably our defense just as much. We need them on the park. I suppose we have good back-ups as well but ideally we get our top players on the park.

I feel our squad is really good. I think it comes down to injuries and the coaching staff getting the job done. Today was a good start though.

Had a quick look at the game day thread in the Eels forum - page 1 was lame Tigers memes, last few pages was the same guys saying sack the players, sack the coach, burn down the clubhouse, LOL.

It was funny seeing the commentators at the end showing clips of about 10 moves from Galvin. They were all raving about him throughout the clips how amazing he was but all he did for most of them was run then get tackled.. haha

We weren't great, but we did what was needed to put Parra away. Good to get the first win away, as it feels like we have started with a month of losses for several seasons. We have a couple of winnable games coming up too.

Would have been nice if Turuva gave away a sinbinning that second last play to keep them to zero.
