Yes and a lot of bad vibes vanish after a good win.Notice how we are getting a lot of close calls too.
Teams under the pump usually give away move penalties and lose challenges.
I think TDS will stay at 14 for the foreseeable future.Yesterday in the sweltering heat, the use of basically several utilities worked. Api, DaSilva, Bird, Luai and Galvin. All those players cover various positions and are light framed lads.
My fear prior to kick was what if Hunt gets gassed again or Pole is injured..
All the above players rotated at some point at dummy half or first receiver.
I'm wondering if it was an intentional master-stroke by our baby coach and whether he'll revert to playing just Bird on the bench.
Several possibilities now.
Samuela Fainu was quiet yesterday now that he and Galvin's left side preferences have altered somewhat.
While Galvin caught the ball to score the long range try and he executed the open play kick for Skelton to score, my concerns regarding his ability to decide on the correct play and execute 5-10 out under pressure remain. ..Even after overlooking the, was it 2 passes directly to the turf 5-10 out under pressure that I can’t remember seeing before*Galvin: Surely, he is not going to f**k his career and go to that rabble which has yet to clear its cap space from a lot of duds. Easts are a lot bigger concern than Parra. Right now, I prefer to give him a pat on the back as he was a shitload better this week. Some on here have a bit of a grudge but Im at the point where I just want to see him help lift our ladder position.....which he did today.
You have to sometimes Tm, depending on the opposition, the conditions and injuries.I think TDS will stay at 14 for the foreseeable future.
But TBH, I wouldn't be changing yesterdays team unless there is injury.
It will for sure, but imo, only because of injury. You have to sometimes Tm, depending on the opposition, the conditions and injuries.
I guarantee that run on side will tweek throughout the year.
Either way, we have flexibility now.
True. Galvin is a work in progress. He's been the Conductor throughout pathways and has been successful at running a backline. While Galvin caught the ball to score the long range try and he executed the open play kick for Skelton to score, my concerns regarding his ability to decide on the correct play and execute 5-10 out for set plays under pressure remain. ..Even after overlooking the was it 2 passes directly to the turf 5-10 out under pressure that I can’t remember seeing before
While our open play attacking ability will probably flourish throughout the next 20 odd weeks against suspect defence and no doubt at times against solid defence which will lift us to a higher spot on the table It will be the 5-10 out set play that will define our season.
Not come in mate, omit.It will for sure, but imo, only because of injury.
I think pick and stick helps build the team.
Who do we have available, that was left out of this 17, that would come in.
No he won't handle a rampaging AFB, but others will, (May, Hunt, Pole & Twal are all capable) we do have to replace Klemmer, so again, imo what ever we do there, will obviously impact the top 17, especially if it is a top tier player.I t
Not come in mate, omit.
I'm only talking about playmakers Tm, do we need 5.
We can't expect Bird for example, at his age and build, to come on and keep AFB and Haas at bay so a bigger pack may at times be required.
You also have Latu as another playmaker who played dummy half successfully in the world cup. Bud may not come back.
It's just food for thought. I've seen Bird play dummy half which means later on in the year you could play a bigger pack eg Kit.
gotta say, over the off season, I was very vocal on releasing Doueihi & Twal, but they have shown they have rebound their talent, and deserve to keep their spot.
Yes, that's why the coaches get the big bucks.Doueihi has been great but if we purchase the other May I can't see Doueihi keeping his spot if we have everyone fit and available. He is goal kicking well as well.
To'a is a lot better a centre than Doueihi is. I think May is a lot better as well.
I'm more worried about Api's service when he's a bit gassed. Ever since he picked up that burner last year his passing left to right is sus. I wonder if there's lingering problems there. DaSilva's passing is crisp both sides.Yes, that's why the coaches get the big bucks.
BUT, we do need a reliable GK and touch finder? I don't think Api will play 80 mins and still kick.
