hilarious, that must be tongue in cheek surely?

Tuala would be among the first selected every week. Would have to be our buy of the year.

Judging from all the derp I’ve read on Knights social media...it’s not. There’s no constructive debate either, it’s just “omg why is Tuala still in first grade!!!!”

One of my favourite memories from FB this year was when one of the lineups were announced and everyone put their 2 cents in on the team that was picked.

I put up my own opinion and this old boomer f*ckwit comes in and tells me the coach will pick who he wants to pick and I’ve got no say in the matter. Well no sh*t ar*ehole, I’m still allowed to comment on the team I support. He didn’t call out anyone else either, just zeroed right in on my comment like I’d just said that the Chief was never passionate about playing for Newcastle.

Great looking side- put Fitz in for Jones next week and that looks to be our best lineup.

The Roosters seem to have named nearly a full strength line up. Hopefully they bash the crap out of the Bunnies and help us in game 1 of the finals.
I’m thinking the other way. Us and Souths win, we still get a home final and get to play Parra in the 2nd week of the finals if we get up in the 1st.

Works for me. Mann was always going to get a run somewhere. Lino retained is good. I thought Hoy might get a bench spot but Randall deserves another go. We can bring Randall on and leave Mann on to work around the ruck.
King unlucky. I reckon the writing is on the wall for him.
King is behind Klem, 2x Saifiti and Herman, just too many middles in front of him if everyone is fit. I think King is always going to be one of those depth players who's 18th or 19th man if everyone is fit

oh yes, see what you mean.

Let's hope for a win over the Titans and for the Bunnies to win in the last minute of extra time. :D

Don’t we cop the loser 1v4 (Penrith/Parra, let’s face it Parra) regardless, if we progress?

I know chooks are a shot at finishing 4.

Don't know if this belongs here but I was thinking maybe Shibasaki could be useful as a edge back rower? Doesn't have much striker power as a centre and some some derp moments but has excellent defence, can run a line and can catch a high ball for a try.

Not saying he should be a our starting star back rower but could offer something as our budget back rower that enables us to sign another star somewhere else?

IIRC, media reports claimed AOB was looking to switch him into a backrower when his signing was announced.

It’s definitely something to consider in the off-season, it’s not like we have a huge amount of quality depth in the back row. Frizell is our marquee strike backrower but then there’s a bit of a gap in terms of quality between him and Fitz, Sione and Jones.

With Best, Tuala, Hunt and Young as our likely first choice centre options Shibs may be more likely to cement a spot in the 17 as a backrower.

I remember in the early 00’s how lucky we were to sign BK and then not long after him a young bloke by the name of Steve Simpson decided to make a name for himself in first grade. What I would give right now for a young Simmo to emerge and give the older warhorse Tyson a run for his money. They don’t build them like Simmo anymore.

Nothing wrong with JSaf and Ese’ese on bench in front of King, JSaf has been very strong to the point I’m thinking we don’t need replacements for Glasby and Ese’ese. Esee gives us options at 13 if injuries occur. He is a bit unlucky but we are very strong in prop/Middle forwards.

Think Sione is now a middle/second row and no longer considered a back/centre, enter Shibs, can see him on bench, possibly at a pinch/injuries, who can cover centre/back row he seems a better defender than attacker and plays ok

I really like his tries from bombs. Seems to time his run well and catch them well as well. Could be a good strike weapon and his defense is first class.

I'm mostly thinking about next year when we lose a few and would be looking. I'd give King another year but I reckon he might look elsewhere and have some offers. He won't be satisfied with an extended bench spot.
