Good points but do you really think the game plan changed from our 6 game winning streak to now ?

What we've seen in the last few weeks is early season Pearce, the usual SOO Pearce. A passive passenger, the half back who, with little game awareness, failed to target Thurston with one arm, the half back who sat back and let Maloney steer HIS side to a GF win.

It is Pearce's job as Captain and half back to lead with energy and to create, second half in particular his kicks were predictable, zero creativity, constantly kicked to the right corner with the same result each time. He is the man calling the plays, he's the guy responsible for running the team. He barely looked interested.

The teams mental toughness is perfectly matched with that of its Captains.
Not debating Pearce's form but he's not the one calling for 4-5 one out runs every set

This its me. Pearce is at a loss why we dropped in form and lost to the Eels - "how do you explain it?".

He goes on to talk about how they had more possession and how we were pinned in our own half and the errors when we did get in position. Treating the game as if it was its own beast and totally lacking the recognition that we struggled to get out of our own half because our attack was garbage. We had players going straight up into the ruck and even running across so they could hit up in the middle of the ruck.

The reason we lost is because we failed to adapt and control the game and our attack was crap.

Our attack has been garbage most of the year, its predicated on winning the ruck, winning the yardage battle and then relying on individual brilliance inside the red zone.
