This tigers side is probably the worst NRL side I’ve seen, EVER, I give them some points cause there’s some young fellas playing but frick me we are poor

The most depressing part is that in 3 years when the youngsters are all established first graders they'll probably all be playing elsewhere.

The team looks unfit do the trainers work 9 to 5 like the coach .the club has some good quality kids there but they are going backwards in terms of development

we haven’t looked fit for years

there were all these headlines about Lachlan Galvin setting records in the pre season, people took it as a good thing an 18 year old was going so well, I was horrified about what the hell the club has been doing if a kid straight out of school is fitter then guys who have been professional NRL players for 5+ years

Nail on the head. This is the reason we are shit, and everyone who comes here turns to shit. A team full of pillows

I was thinking the exact same thing.

We've never had pace, size, explosive power, or endurance.

Our strength and conditioning unit is a joke. It would actually be better if they came out and said we never had a unit and it was a phantom fraud being used to embezzle funds from the club, rather than the truth, which is we have been so shit at it for 25 years and no one has ever realised.

Spot on. The COE must be a place where old players come for a snooze.
So far it doesn't seem to be working. Rehab purposes maybe but for producing power athletes ha ha

Agree. Speed and power is not our forte..never has.

Yep....even when we won it, you could not say we were the most athletic team in the comp. Our mobility and ball play around that time got us home.

Wests Tigers / Balmain for most of our history have been blessed with very good fullbacks though. Our fullback drought started with Teddy leaving but we now have a decent prospect in Bula.

As far as outside backs though, things have been very bland as far as the joint venture has gone. Even in our premiership year, we had Fitzhenry (strangely went ok with starting sets off), Elford (decent but in the bottom rung of starting centres at that time), Whatitura (had his one great year with us) and Richards (only elite standard back we had at the time aside from Hodgson).

If you had to do an all-time WT starting 5, even a few of those players are hardly elite for their time.

1. Hodgson (Teddy had more ability but Hodgson definitely gave more value to our club....easy pick).
2. Richards (Elite winger.....easy pick).
3. Whatitura (One great year....but that year was 2005......debatable pick)
4. Lawrence (Good centre.....but even he had some definicies with defence and ball handling. Debatable pick).
5. Genuinely undecided....we have had a few decent ones but all had their holes. Lote (good but a long way from his Bronco form), Koribete, Nofo and Tuaki (powerful and fast but had limitations) are in the running......very debatable pick).
