To be fair there's no defence at all for that play, that was an absolute freak of a play.

However I agree I thought he was offside, also when there was that previous "no try" video ref call they looked at it about 5 times before saying on side yet this time they gave it one look even though this one looked more offside than the first one.

The game is a lot closer than the scoreboard says. The difference is the roosters are capitalising on their half chances. If pongas pass found Guerra, and if Ross was in his position instead of so far behind Moga, there's a good chance we're only 4 points down.

Am I the only one who thinks the Rorters 2nd and 3rd were no tries? If it's line ball, why aren't they going with the on field call? Also, Keary never got that ball down, his own hand clearly held it up. F**k I hate the way the game is officiated these days

There's definitely room for improvement, but we're not in wrist slitting territory yet

Keary got it down before his hand held it up. Will definitely say that offsides seem to be a coin flip tonight.

Not adjusting to the rain so hopefully it clears in the 2nd half. A few harsh calls and poor errors don’t help.
If Keary was inside on that kick, I’m not here.
Don’t think we can win this one but if we knock out errors in our own half and get a bit of field position we can make a game of it.

I feel like the refs have given the Roosters a 12 point advantage tonight. It should be 12-8 at half-time.

In saying that, of course we need to be better.

Has anyone here seen much of Moga last year? Do we have much to look forward to because at the moment I'm just seeing BJ 2.0. He was good last week but was playing against a back rower out of position.

I agree. I can live with a result like this because the scoreline doesn't reflect the quality of try-scoring opportunities we created and bombed. I'd much rather that type of loss than one where the team looks completely devoid of ideas and just meekly succumbs, like how the Eels were yesterday and how we often were in the past few years.

We didn't take our chances, we made way too many errors, and we didn't adapt to the conditions. But we still looked dangerous with the ball. And the score only blew out because of a wonderfully skilful try at the end. We'll move on.
