I can see Makasini and Lualilii getting carved up today, I don’t want to see it but I just think that Bennet is way too smart not to bombard that side. Lualilii has hands like feet, cannot catch and he is horrible in defence,

We are up at half time but this is a massive concern. Laulilii hits the ball up pretty well but his defense is all time terrible and his finishing isn't very good. Makasini was beat by Wighton but even if made the tackle Laulilii had gone missing and they probably score anyway.

That half was diabolical. I don't think we can rely on Souths to make that many errors in the 2nd half.

I can't believe we're leading.

We were really poor but Api but AD's bomb and of course Latrell being Latrell got us back in the game. It'll be tough to win this one though.

Lualilii got some ticker I’ll give him that. I think we should be further ahead given the amount of possession but after being down 12-0 we have done good to stay in the game. The noticeable difference between this week and last week is the lack of composure in the oppositions 20 again, this killed us in a few games last year. Last week we were much more settled with nice shape and a few set plays. Souths have been getting off their line too quickly. Standing in our line before the ball leaves the dummy half’s hand

The more it changes the more it stays the same. Lack of composure in the oppositions 20 kills us, last week they were good. Kai Pearce-Paul and Sam Fainu never even got a chance at running a line tonight it was back to the old tigers as far as attack goes, any other team has that amount of possession in the oppositions half they’re winning by 20 or 30 points. Injuries to Douehi and Luai mean it’s gonna be a really long season again. Douehi looks like he’ll need six weeks at least, looks like a high hamstring tear, super hard to get them right. Luai looks like it may have just been a knock, so hopefully he is right soon. Heartbreaking and frustrating at the same time.

I might be odd man out here but I'm happy with how they went especially given it was their 2nd game of the season.

The Tigers will win plenty this year.

We let that one slip away. The amount of ball we had in good field position we should have been able to win 3 games. Our attack is just not good enough. It's all well and good to offload, but its rarely creating anything. Most of the time a player was crabbing across the field in slow motion waiting for a runner, while the rest of the team watches and waits for the ball carrier to do something.

Credit where it's due, Bula had a very good 2nd half. Very busy and had quality touches.

After the very poor start we could have easily had 50 put on us. We stuck to our guns and got back in the game and stayed in it all the way through.

I'm betting Marshall was wishing he hadn't used his 4 interchange player before Luai got hurt. Madden was sorely needed in that last 10 minute period.

Hope so, but they should’ve won that by 20. Middles defence was pretty good, forwards were great. Our halves were really ordinary, Sam Fainu and KPP saw absolutely no quality ball, Api was a bit slow at dummy half at times and souths really got the run of the green when defending their line, they were consistently standing in our line before the dummy half had released the ball. Stifled any prospect of attack. Really where our halves should start setting their plays 5 metres deeper I was really disappointed with our attack.

Our attack is f**king abysmal, but on the plus side the halves might be out for a while.

Our forwards were good. We just can't attack. You can't win games consistently without having a good attack.

To be fair we have our starting centers out and Luai and AD both got injured in that game. Our spine need to create more.

Still some mistakes by LL, Skelton and Royce cost us.

So close but until Benji gets the team gelling in attack we will not make the finals.

This was my first live game in a long time, will probably be my last.
The cost for everything is obscene, entry, food, parking etc.
I'm showing my age, but the noise was appalling as well.
I thought we lost it in the first 20 mins, we were so slow all around the park and our mistakes were massive. I did think it picked up after this.
I thought at the beginning of the season that our depth was finally up to speed.
But after our second game we have been tested and didn't aim up.

Frustrating game. Souths were going nowhere, making 35ms a set every time, we march downfield with ease then can’t do anything when we get there. We looked fitter and faster than souths. Few dud calls, Wighton just fell over when they got the penalty for the last try, Turuva blatantly taken out and no penalty. Very unlucky with the accidental offside, souths had gone nowhere, put a shot kick in which rebounds off multiple legs then get the ball back. Bounce just went against us all night. If Luai stays on I reckon we win. Not meant to be. Now after 2 rounds we’re missing our 3 first choice halves and Centres LOL, this club is cursed.

I'll also add, that it was hard to follow the games nuances of why players went off. Without benefit of replays and commentators.
I still have no idea why Luai went off.

No idea how you’re meant to tackle Jye Gray. Blokes 5ft nothing, as soon as he catches a bomb he drops to the ground, it’s impossible not to hit him high, he clearly plays for it.

Btw is it just me or does Bula legit suck now?
