I was there with my young bloke and it was a decent turnout. It was a rowdy atmosphere and the place erupted when they showed the replay of the Leilua non try call. Pretty good atmosphere.

It's a shame the club doesn't give the southwest more love and attention, its proper rugby league heartland.

Your pommy centre looks the goods too, looked very dangerous live and quick.
Did he look quick live?
He came across as moderate on telly.

He does seem to have some pace, just needs to learn to draw and pass and he will be brilliant, imo.

He has something doesn't he.

Brooks and Madden were both good. The halves weren't the problem.
You just gave me an idea, 05.
If we are gonna have multiple captains in our leadership group, we should also have an accountability group.
It would consist of the 5 players that Fxxked up the worst and contributed directly to our loss.
That way, we can wokely spread the blame and not focus on the one idiot that was most responsible . . . . lest he feels victimised, vulnerable and excluded.
Like, say . . . Laurie.

We will be seeing world firsts from the team this year. Things that have never been seen before. Ever. Not just in the NRL but anywhere. Luchi’s try No try was one example of that. Brooks has been involved in one or two already this year

I like that, a “useless cont of the week”award. Times 5. Yip.
I’d prefer just one tho

I feel bad piling in on him but he was the main reason we lost. He gifted them a try off a missed time take for a bomb and Brooks put him in under the posts if he could catch a good ball but he didn't.

Then the refs screwed us over a try.

Has anyone ever seen such a poor decision ? I'm serious as well. I've been watching league for probably close to 40 years. I've seen a poor decision like that especially with the video ref and all the scrutiny within the game.

I think you are all with me in saying that it wasn't the score, or even losing that kills us. If the ref had checked Luciano's try, and Laurie didn't bobble a certain try we would have won by 10. With literally the exact same everything happening we would have won by 10.

But what is just f**king unforgivable is those last 12 mins. I've been very fair with Brooks. I don't think I've ever bagged him and given him a lot of benefit of the doubt...but that was HIS RESPONSIBILITY to close that game out. If you can't ice a game in that situation then you shouldn't be a halfback.

What is killing us even more, is I think we all genuinely feel that Hastings at 7 could have gotten it done. He would have found a way...one way or another.

Brooks to 6 and Madden to 7 until Hastings is back, then Hastings to 7 with Brooks or Madden at 6.

Laurie keeps his FB spot but if he puts in another shit performance give To'a a crack

I really liked what I saw from To'a, and the attitude from Seyfarth. He actually looked like he gave a f**k

I sat through that filth last night. The crowd was decent if not really spread out. Good atmosphere.

Tamou seemed to be played inspired. Garner was quality, as was Seyfarth. Madden & Liddle were also good. Toa was amazing and Gildart started to show why we signed him.

Laurie was very ordinary. So many dropped balls and bombing that try was just...frustrating. I did like that he seemed pissed off with himself by punching the ground, showing he at least gives a f**k.

Gildart gets that flick to Toa in the first half, or laurie holds the ball, or Simpkin finds a support bloke and we're celebrating a scrappy win.

Ziggy whoeverthef*ckhisnameis, wow, what a plonker. They checked decisions in trial games but this geek doesn't send it upstairs to review for Luciano's potential try - which swung the momentum. Cap it off he is smiling at the boos going off at halftime, surrounded by cops and security. Great look for the game, NRL.

Joffa was atrocious - running 20 metres sideways before going 1 metre forward. Twal was useless - no go forward at all.

Then we get to old mate Brooks. How many kicks of his went down the throat of the Warriors back 3. He had 10 minutes in prime field position to muster something, anything, to show why he "is worth something" and he came up with nothing. Again. In our great time of need. He can f*ck off to Newcastle for all I care - I've given that bloke far too many passes and I'm done with him.

I'm also surprised that Peachey was on the bench for so long last night. No point running both he and Simpkin on the bench, they're filling the same purpose. Need to get that sorted.

When Hastings returns, I'd be playing Madden at 7 with Hastings at 6, and Brooks can go back to the Magpies (or go to the Knights, Dolphins, wherever).

The next few rounds are bleak as well - Titans (a), Sharks (a), Eels (a), Souths (h). Goodness me we could be 0-7.

You havnt seen that before - A try in the manner Luch scored it, and it’s not checked. That’s a world first.

If he said Noffa id agree with him. He had another under sevens side ways running game again .

He did that beautiful backwards run when we were on the attack and then the ball just by bad luck popped out. It's a shame because he looked so cool turning up to the game.

I feel like a real merkin at times but seriously that guy just needs to run hard and straight, defuse his kicks, defend as well as he can which isn't great and not make mistakes.
