I think he is just doing his job at the moment. As the year goes and if (a big IF) we are still in the hunt I think his game breaking ability will shine. To me the team is still finding their feet, combinations etc. But Luai’s influence on the team is obvious … he seems infectious which is no doubt another reason we got him. I also think his defense has been pretty impressive

apart from the Newcastle game our attack has been fairly good as a whole and I think he is a major reason why. Often orchestrating the play and straightening the attack

Obviously I hope I am wrong but I think not having Luai out there v Brisbane will be really telling. If Galvin can lead us around the park to an unlikely victory I’ll be amazed
No reason y Galvin & Latu can’t dominate the more experienced opposition & be instrumental in getting us the 2 pts

I like the team.

Luke Laulilii on the wing deserves a big tick.
Latu at 7 is awesome. He is even the face on the WT site so they must be waking up to how good he could be.
The extended bench looks good as well.

I feel for Faataape. I was worried about him last week under the high ball but he was great. He stuffed up one play but May, Bula and Turuva all made bigger mistakes.

One other point that isn't relevant to this game but it is to our season is that Api and TDS were fine as goalkickers last week. So AD shouldn't be picked just on his goal kicking which to be fair has been unreal.

It's probably the best we could produce, will see if it's good enough.
The pleasing thing is the stability with most of the players staying in the 17.

It's against the Broncos who have an awesome squad.

Hass/Carrigan as your staring props.
Hunt/Reynolds as your halves.
Walsh/Cobbo/Staggs in your outside backs.

Our 9 is better and TDS on the bench gives us an awesome combination there.

Let's see how we go.

I think AD will be dropped when L fainu and Luai are both in the team. Bird in the centres?

It's about the best team we can pick this week. Really looking forward to see how Latu goes for a full game at half, and the dynamic between him and Galvin. Communication with these 2 and the rest of the team is going to be vital, and TBH a bit of a worry. I'm interested to see what emerges there.

For me, this is a game I expect we'll get pumped. There won't be much expectation of us from the wider NRL community. These are the type of games where we often fire up and sometimes pull off a massive upset.

If May goes good against the Broncos pack he can just about pack his bags for origin.

Lightning speed and agility in our haves v their experienced but slow old ducks will be an interesting match up.

Pole and May continue to emerge and improve. They don’t need to fear their big men.

They’ll be out on the flanks, so we need a good defensive drill out there, if we can close those opportunities we could get in the grind.

Latu in the side in a key game breaking position is a massive boost. Could well find a lot of gaps.

And we still have plenty of strike.

I’m sure JL would have loved to play in this one.

The 3 Fainu brothers get another game together, and the Laulilii Bros not far off it either, good stuff.

Sam is still a danger and nowhere near his optimum.

They have stars sure, but some of their factory, Im afraid they simply wouldn’t make our side.

So I’m a bit more upbeat.

I agreed with Benji that the warriors are a very tough and underrated side. No irredeemable regret or disturbance in losing against them in a tight one.

Especially given all our errors.

I refuse to feel threatened and to give up now by a Madge coached Broncos.

Doesn’t make complete sense.

It's tough.

I initially thought there is no way I move Bird but then you could have Latu in that role.
Do you just push Doueihi out and play Galvin in the centres ?

Do you drop Hunt and just go with a small bench. I mean May and Twal can play big minutes.

Today, I'm full of confidence, but by game day, not so much.
But we got this by 6 with Api MoM.

It's the much maligned fullback that scares me, he will be salivating at the thought of running around AD, hopefully the Tigs can be some pressure on him from the start and his confidence does not improve.
Hopefully with the lack of doing it he has forgotten how to do it

Renno is always playing injured at this point, so no speed or endurance, so Hunt is used sporadically.

Hunt v Galvo, at this point, Galvo is a better defender and makes a lot more metres in play. He also handles the ball a lot more often.

We will need the line to pressure their halves all day, try and isolate them and smash them (legally). The longer we can do that, the more likely they will fall into error.

Renno is one decent hit away from the end of his career. The broncos have to plan around that while our young cubs are more resilient.

Some of Galvos cut-out passing has been top shelf this year, for his age and all that, he’s been superb.
