Littlejohn is not the answer.......we need a tried and true 7.......
Brad Fiddler was saying today Jittlejohn doesnt demand the ball at all...So it always goes to Moses.......So he wouldnt be useful for us if thats the case

Johns is full of it. The problem was Moses didn't offer much at all. Don't get me wrong LittleJohn wasn't great but I don't think he is any worse than Brooks and Moses.

05 I agree - even not taking into account the experience difference between them, I think he plays about the same. I would pick LJ as a decent depth half.

On that basis, I hope we keep him

This team are an absolute shambles. Noffa defending 15 metres in field allowing Nightingale to score once was embarrassing, having it happen 4 times is just plain shithouse. It wouldn't pass for Under 18's let alone first grade.

No options in attack. No creativity. No set plays. No Structure. No heart, no passion, no desire.

Jason Taylor wasn't the problem. It's these players that are the problem. Too much sugar coating for too many years. Playing for contracts of 800,000+ and putting this shit effort in week in, week out.

They'll be annihilated next week in Townsville.

I was thinking the same...still same probs even without Taylor here.
Nofa gives away so many tries every week.....always infield ,middle of nowhere.
Hes a great attacking weapon, best we have at moment, but Cleary will have to pull him aside about his defence positioning..
Embarrassing letting the veteran Flo Rinse in for 3 tries....and was nearly 4.
Also Suli tries hard but too green for 1st grade just yet......

We have some issues don't we. Nofo is a weapon offensively but the worst defender on the wing in the comp. To be fair to Nofo I honestly think it's a coaching decision to defend like that.

I put a lot of this on Taylor though. This is his team playing his style of footy. His style of footy is to have a dud attack, crappy defence and to pay players that aren't currently at NRL level as if they are superstars.

I think this can be turned around pretty quickly but it requires some tough decisions to be made mainly to do with the big 4.

Webster was bought in by Taylor though wasn't he?

Agree that it was embarrassing that the line was so compressed on that right edge that they just basically went around us with ease and at will.

Little bit harsh on nofo i think. Im going to put it out there, i think naquama is the worst player to play for the wests tigers, or possibly both clubs in their 100+ years. Just a massive liability in defence. He does not score tries, so you lose nothing in attack by slotting lawrence there. We would be minimum 12 points a game better just by him fcking off. Moses had a chance to prove himself today, fail! Brooks goes alright without moses, so f**k off moses to the dogs or where ever you want. Woods, didnt see him second half, see you later too! Teddy? Oh poor you, looked so defeated today and wants to play for a winning club. Well if your mates and that piece of shit manager would take fair pay, maybe we could have a decent pack. Same for you, f**k off if you dont like it. No one is bigger than the club.

The worst, most gutless team to put on a tigers jersey. No one gives a f#@k

I feel for you blokes....we've been going through something similar for the last 5 years. At least the Taylor sacking has proven something and that is, the coach was not the whole problem. The only bloke having a go is Teddy, i wouldn't feed the rest of them at the moment. Wood's is an urban myth, Brooks has never impressed me and Moses is rocks and diamonds........if he was half the player he thinks he is he would be a champion. I keeping hearing about the Big 4, is that a caravan park in Campbelltown?

Spot on. I liked the efforts of Nofo, Teddy, Suli and Idris even looked solid in stages.

Suli is a f**king machine, I wonder what his post contact metres are. I definitely see his value now

The rest of the team can get f**ked basically

I can't help but think that a lot of our problems could be fixed if we simply moved Suli (who has played right center all his juniors) to right center and Kev to left wing (who played wing all his juniors). Crazy I know, but players in the positions they've played their entire lives might work.

Agree with moving Suli to centres. The kid is green but geez his carries r great. He will be a star with experience.

Kev must never b anywhere near the nrl team in any position again. He isn't a 1st graders arsehole !!!

Saw this on Facebook

Did anyone else watch the game on live stream? Because they don't have advertising on there, they never cut away from the live feed. So basically, you get to see things that don't normally make the live TV broadcast when they cut to a commercial. As Nightingale was walking back from his third try, the camera was on him and he looked at the trainer, laughed and said,

"looks like all that training this week targeting the up and in defence is paying off".

So basically the Dragons knew our edge defence is rubbish and predictable in advance and they trained accordingly to exploit our weakness. It paid off for them as almost ever try came easy for them up that same edge. Ever other team will be doing the same!

Every team in the nrl thinks we are a joke

That was on the fox coverage as well. He was having a good old chuckle about it.

I literally cringe on how soft our blokes were. If I saw the other team laughing at how shit we are id make sure i belt them as hard as possible in defense.

Like my coach used to say in the rep teams, tackle them like you want to hurt them (except for the illegal stuff of course)

The most disappointing thing for me was the lack of game smarts.

OK, so you go into a game with a compressed defensive line, that's your plan A. What do you do when the other team shows they are targeting this successfully?

Most if not ALL other teams will switch defensive structures to counter this. I would say with most teams the word would not need to come from upstairs to switch, the players would know.

Wests Tigers continued to play a compressed defensive line letting in 3 tries and the game was pretty much gone after this.

On a positive note, Tigers were making massive meters up the middle, but they just look to be missing playmakers that come in and take control in point scoring positions.Way too many hit ups close to the line, no structure at all. A set of five tackles seems to be 5 separate plays unrelated, we are not moving or targeting opposition defenses in any way.

I dont think we are as far off as others here think and only tweaks are needed in both personnel and tactics and we will see some wins.

I reckon our middle forwards are great and we have depth there as well. I reckon Lawrence is good as well. The problem with Lawrence is that he is inconsistent but maybe he needs a spell or two.

We don't have a right edge forward though and we need to fix that.

I also think we aren't as far off as it seems. Getting rid of Taylor was a big step forward. Add in a couple of recruits and resign or get rid of any of the big 4 who won't stay for a fair wage. Then we can build from that point on.

It sucks at the moment watching the crud they are dishing up but I think this can be turned around reasonably quickly.
