It's all fun at the moment. They good is making the bad ok to handle.
Oh yeah, they're not perfect. There's just a lot to like now, as opposed to absolutely nothing to like for years prior.

How Ponga slots into this when he's right is crucial to us taking another step again, too. We need him to add what he's actually capable of to the side.

We look like a footy team.

We look the exact opposite of everything we were the past 3 seasons.

We are playing footy and everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing.

f**k knows where that has come from. I hope it is O’Brien but wonder who else has had a major impact in the off season?

As fans it feels like this is all we’ve wanted for years. Nobody is talking about premierships or top 4 or even top 8, but to watch our games and find them enjoyable even if we lose.

When the team actually plays some decent football and has a crack, the result isn’t everything. If we play like this all season I’ll be relatively happy regardless of where we finish.

Sometimes the defence still looks shaky. But other times solid.

I guarantee Hastings is one who has had influence.

The thing is that they're setting an actual foundation and baseline performance of what's acceptable. They're setting standards in areas now - especially effort and resilience. I don't think it can be overstated how much of an effect Hastings is having. He's hitting his prime as a half, and it's pretty clear he's been given the keys to the team - and at the moment he's thriving with it.

It's funny, I keep looking at penalties or negative plays and expecting our collapse, but they haven't done that. This mob continues to have a crack. That's ultra pleasing, but man it's going to take some time for me to not worry about them dropping their bundle after a mistake.

This is exactly how I feel, and almost everyone else I know.
Results are just a bonus. Good signs.
