Good to see a couple of under-performers get dropped. To’a has looked pretty poor so far this year, his defence has been terrible and he’s made little impact with the ball.

Shibs was obviously going to get dropped for Best if he’s fit so no real surprise there.

I know it’s early on in the season but if we can’t win this one at home I think we can kiss our finals aspirations goodbye. Must win game!

So what’s the go with Best’s elbow? The timeframe has been TBA since it happened up until he surprisingly returned this week. I wonder if it’s an injury that requires surgery, but he’s decided to try and play with it and get it done at the end of the season?

The original prognosis was 3-6 weeks. He’s back in 4, might’ve made a full recovery.

Since AOB arrived the club has been very secretive with injury updates/timeframes. I don't even think they had officially acknowledged Edrick and Fitzgibbon were out injured until recently.

Just from what I've seen, it looks like To'a was carrying a shoulder injury. Every time he scored a try he would pull up score. Was probably on his mind. Hope he gets the rest he needs and comes back and plays strongly. I think he definitely has a future somewhere in our backline.

Think Toa may have injured himself weeks ago but has played on while we have been in injury crises. Definitely has looked troubled by it but hopefully he gets it right before coming back.

Sharks lose another winger, they have half their side missing. On top of the coaching turmoil.

Not that there has been any excuses for the shit dished up against the Tigers and Titans, but there really aren't any for not winning tonight.

It feels like the kind of game that if we have a good start, we could break their spirit a bit and get the win comfortably, but if we give them a sniff could result in a boil over of emotion for them and end badly for us. I don't know if the Sharks have enough reasons to dig in and play out a tough 80, so if we indicate that we are willing it might be enough.

We'll probably know within the first set of 6 or 2 how it's going to play out. I don't have much faith based on the last 2 weeks.

This is a constant narrative for us. Happened as recently as the Tigers game.
