I'm not 100% but I think its nil to a small handful.
Some of the comments on SA's facebook page say that they tried to get locals involved but blokes weren't showing up for training or had RU commitments they preferred to keep

Damian selected for national rugby league squad for qualifier

The 2021 Rugby League World Cup will be the 16th staging of the tournament and will be held in England between October 23 and November 27.

David Woolls' departure initially seemed like a big concern in the Owls camp, with the number 13 scoring the bulk of Boksburg's tries last season, but Damian Diedericks (pictured) has since laid those worries to rest with his scintillating form.


Red-hot TW Boksburg Rugby Club midfielder Damian Diedericks is scheduled to fly out to Australia as part of the South African National Rugby League squad, which will play a world cup qualifier on July 21.

Diedericks (22) featured for the Bulls side in a provincial tournament final early this year in Pretoria against the Mpumalanga Panthers, when he caught the eyes that mattered, earning him selection for the squad.

Enjoying his second season with the Owls currently, he was a North-West University (Pukke) player before making the switch to Prince George Park.

Commenting on his selection for The Rhinos, he said: “I’m proud of myself, I didn’t think it (the selection) would happen so quick, but it did.”

A rugby league team consists of 13 players on the field, with four substitutes on the bench – compared to a rugby union team, which consists of 15 players on the field.
