Ratini had a great game in the reggies.
His improvement from whence last I saw, the Manly trial, was quite astonishing.
At this rate I dare say we could see him in the firsts by mid to late in the season.
Twice yesterday he was within millimetres of the sideline and with his speed got around players.
And defensively he was very good, ran down a couple of half breaks quite easily and his positional play was sound.
I have hope for this fella.

I watched the reggies BBB and I have to completely agree with you. I thought he was very very good. Pace - can't be coached and he has it to burn, something we lack in 1st grade.

Your best last night was the crowd, only second to the one at Brookie. I was sure it was going to earn your blokes a few more penalties.

Typical derby match this time you guys under the pump and it work you got us, certain fixtures in the season when the underdog good chance and this game is always one of them

BBB if thats the case and is safe under the kick, get him on the wing and Bakuya in the centres

Who were the f**kwits that were throwing rubber balls or something at Soward taking that kick from the sideline?

I hope they caught them and got banned.

I agree, no need for that crap in the game. Will just give goon supporters something else to whinge about!

Very ordinary performance. Despite the loss of Carney, we played too much one out stuff - like a team of 7yo's. I really thought our imports would lift team performance but it seemed we dragged them down to our one out style of play. It seems the massive crowd support for Cronulla gave the wrong team a lift. Very disappointed.

Which "import" is that ? Was there one Cronulla junior on the field ? A team of imports.

I thought we were poor across the park.

Our left side needs re arranging.
I have been a m wright fan but he was smoked by an average footballer tonight. J wright does nothing for me. He needs a stint in reggies with a rocket up him. he showed more energy last night, but anything is better than none.
Graham back to the bench.

Lets get Lewis onto the left, with a new centre and winger. Graham play with spark and mongrel when he gets on. I am going to suggest something, Gordon centre, Gardner fullback (oh oh) and someone else

Heighno was standard. Lots of high energy but impact wise, nothing. He works hard and tackles well up the middle.

Someone needs to tackle like LEwis. His attack is blunted with all his work in D.

Gallen worked hard, but gee he made mistakes at crucial times, early in the count.

Beau went ok and i was glad to see how pissed off he was at the end.

Fifita was good again. Runs werent as effective (due to defensive workload) but for a big man he has really improved his work in and aroudn the ruck where he has been to lazy in the past.

Robson tried hard but his long kicking game is ordianry.

Our DH let us down again with slow service. Both of them. They try hard, but are a little biege.

Our bench didnt have the impact of previous weeks. Taga didnt look like he played too many minutes, nor did Issac. Due to Carney injury??

Lets put this game into the, "better to lose in March rather than September basket"
Its done, we can all move on and smash the Eels and stick it up the stick man.

PS - Mills was trash. He looked slow, scared and Unco. Townsend did what he had to do without setting the game alight. Politoni might be an option. Hard to judge really due to the lack of cohesion across the field.

Gall as close as it gets to being regarded as a junior.

40 + years and no one has the answer. I assume the imports tag was to imply the recruits dont show passion. Well Gall and Fifita certainly do. Granted many of our imports cant play but neither can the locals. Be realistic, to finish Top 4, you cant drop points to the side running last. To make it worse , they were better in most areas. We are slim chance to win a game without TC. What's left to try that hasnt heen done? Main thing that frustrates me is the continual recruitment of backrowers. Arguably our NSW Cup back line is as good as first grade. Truth is there isnt much in it. Blair,Waqa and Finch would start for us. Robbo hardly tore NSW Cup apart at Parra. Jono was a NSW Cup player for a good while. Another poster said Matt Wright was Country side reserve grader and it wasnt me. I would argue having seen a country reserve grade team last week.

We would be the least affected team losing 14 players in the comp given the recruits since 2011 recrruits wont be among them.

Mills was woeful. I would even say he was the worst on the field. He was playing inside Ratini(our Fijian flyer) and did not pass the ball to him once.

Agree Snoop. I was hoping to see Mills in firsts but he was very poor yesterday. Barely completed a tackle. Centre is our Achilees Heel. We have Pom, Leutele (injured), Matt Wright and Mills. Perhaps why Feki looked better playing outside Blair.

He just seemed more interested in not being there. The funny thing is in today's tele Rothfield is calling for Jono to be dropped and replaced by mills. It goes to show how much footy he actually watches(or how poor of a footy judge he is)

I thought Feki showed a lot of energy when he came on and might just be a smokey to take one of those centre spots. Don't get me started on Matt wright in the centers! All I will say is that he is NOT a 3/4. Winger at best and that's that!

Maybe J Wright needs a turn in the centres.. Direct swap with M Wright.

No thanks. That means Matt Wright still in the team. This season is clearly one of transition. Much as I dont rate him, Gards to the wing. At least he offers something in attack. We have 2 choices. Pick the Matt Wright types and try to grind out a win or go on attack. Both probably won't work. But we are boring and hard to watch. We dont have 20 points a game in us. Rather lose having a go. Either way we are not Top 8. Those that think we are will be disappointed. Manly, Dogs, Souths , Storm. We will be below those 4. That puts us 5th at best.

Why not play either Bakuya who when replace Letuele against Warriors went well.

Have Ratini play on the wing, Bakuya is bigger enough to bust tackles then get the ball to Ratini.

Keep Gall in the middle not to drift, have Graham & Lewis work edges.

Morris only DH in squad if injured we go to Heigno, we need to remember as well only team we scored more then 2 tries against was warriors so team against Eels

1. M.Gordon
2. B.Ryan
3. B.Pommeroy
4. J.Bakuya
5. A.Ratini
6. C.Townsend
7. J.Robson
8. A.Fifita
9. J.Morris
10. B.Ross
11. W.Graham
12. L.Lewis
13. P.Gallen
14. A.Topou
15. S.Tagatese
16. C.Heighinton

Good selection. Would be happy to see this team run out.

Reality is The Wrights will start and Peach wont be on the bench. Hope i'm wrong. Raitini in at the deep end. Might even swap my old fave Toops for Roquiqa (afro dude).

This season is or will be a write off , so blood youngsters now in preparation for next year.

I find it amusing how some people on here are resident grammar nazis, however they dont say a word when the usual suspects constantly spell our players names incorrectly.
By amusing i mean it drives me crazy.
