2 completely different 5/8s. One is big, one is small. One runs through the defense, one runs around the defense. I cant wait for this battle!

Personally i think mateo is gonna make benji his sunday afternoon roast lunch.

mateo always shines against the tigers. Last year in round 2 was his first game in of the year, scored the match winner.
and in the other mid season game, won MOM and killed them with 2 tries including the famous 'michael jordan slam try'.

looking at this seasons stats, i think mateo is proving he the better 5/8 of the 2.

mateo 194cm 104kgs
benji 181cm 91kgs

average meters
mateo 110
benji 40

tackles
mateo 20.5
benji 5.5

offloads
mateo 2.83
benji 0.13

linebreaks
mateo .58
benji .25

try assist
mateo 10
benji 2 lol

your thoughts?

My thoughts are that its looking to be a wet game, not good for Benji.
If it were dry on the day Benji will have him covered.

Mateo is top shelf and his offloads could kill us if we don't get him early and wrap him up.

But Benji in full flight makes anyone else look like they're playing a different game.

Mateo isn't a 5/8th. He is a modern 5/8th. That being a lock forward converted into the pivot position.

He has an offload and a somewhat decent grubber but does not direct the side in attack they just run off him hoping for an offload. Benji actually is a traditional pivot and part of what can make the game exciting as he is unpredictable when on song.

Meteo is just another example of the complete barstardisation of the 5/8 position as it's all about atheletes now.

i wonder if benji played all season which way the stats would lead... but then again stats aint everything... benji is running into a bit of form and showing some confidence slowley building. I expect benji to shine this weekend with more confidence and running the ball more and unleash a step. I guess the stat u did manage to forget benji has played 6 games for 3 tries where mateo has played 11 for 4 tries bags is the more illusive point scorer.

I think Mateo is a better player, but if you are going to show stats comparing them you should put the required stats for a fair comparrison of a 5/8.

Kick Metres per game
Benji 152.16
Mateo 53.18

i wonder if u take benji's injury's out of it and he had played injury free and not missed so much game time would u still rate mateo a better player?

how about a games played stat? benjis missed half the season, not really comparing at this stage.

mateo is close to the form player of the comp. if we contain him we win easily. however his style of play really troubles the tigers so i doubt we will...

Probably not, I highly rate Benji when hes not injured, but it's been a while since he's had a long strech without being injured so I can't say atm.

And so he should! He should also wash Benji's feet, do his laundry, clean his house, and worship the ground Benji walks on. He is Benji's bitch, afterall.
