Nov 11 - Penrith's new coach, Matthew Elliott, says he is impressed and pleased by the attitude of his players and that they share a mutual excitement about the future.
Speaking on a local radio station, Matt was asked: " (are the) players genuinely excited about having you aboard and getting a fresh start?"
He replied: "Yes, and I share their excitement. I guess at the moment we're on our honeymoon period ... they're seeing the 'Happy Matt' at the moment and they deserve to because their attitude ... they have been really responsive and their preparedness to work has been refreshing."
Matt revealed that like all of us, he has another side - and he agreed that 'Mr Crankypants' was bound to show up sooner or later.
He also said that he was most impressed by the new football facilities at Credit Union Australia Stadium.
The boys returned to training on Monday after their end of season break.

Well if I had typed it then I would say yes but I only copied it from PI so I can't be held responsible for the error...

Matt Elliott continues to impress me.

Of course, it's all words at the moment, but nevertheless, he is conducting himself in a way that re-news enthusiasm.

How long until mr crankypants shows up? Probably about as long as it takes for one of our infamous mid game slumps to appear

Wishful thinking im sure (but this is Penrith afterall ) but hopefully those "slumps" will be a thing of the past now that Mr Elliot has hold of the reins. If Mr Elliot can turn the boys minds around and erase that part of our game, then next year will be a good one at the foot of the mountains :D I for one cannot wait. How many days till Season 07 kicks off ? *Looks longingly at calendar* Why isnt it March 17th yet ?? :(

Now all I have to do is kick him of his "chewing gum on the sideline habit" and I'll be happy.

Did you work that out yourself or did you find it on the net somewhere? If you did it yourself then you must be more bored than I am and I'm EXTREMELY bored, I have had nothing to do for about 2 or 3 weeks.....
