What a revelation these two guys have been.

Matt Einsenhuth - 16 HU, 118 metres and 31 tackles

Alex Twal - 15 HU, 133 metres 31 tackles

First of all Matt, he definitely doesn't lack work ethic. First edge back rower/lock we've had in a while that can seem to consistently make 100+ metres and hold our middle strong. I have high hopes for him

And Alex Twal. This guy was untested and I couldn't see him fitting into 1st grade so easily at first but he's made the transition without a flinch. What's even more impressive to me is he made 31 tackles for no misses and he put his body in front for all of them.

If we are successful next year we need these players on the field...imagine Einsenhuth, Twal running off the back of Packer and Mautilino.

4+ forwards consistently making 100+ metres is great

Got energy, always in the mix in the middle. Found him to be running with the play a lot yesterday. Got good match awareness too, only offloaded when it was justified.

100% mate

Whilst the start of the year was a complete disaster, since ICs come on board there's been more positives then negatives for mine. Seeing these two + Marsters & Suli not only handle first grade but look like good players is making next year look very promising.

The competition for spots in the pack is going to be great in 2018.

Also shout out to Chris Lawrence aswell, thought that was one of his best games in the back row yesterday. Starting to warm to the idea of him being captain next year actually

Nobody more deserving at the club

Hopefully he can stay fit. If things don't go well with McQueen's surgery there's slim pickings in the second row unless we can lock someone else down. There was also talk about ET still possibly going back to NZ.

I think our forwards will be significantly better next year.

Props:- Packer/Matulino/Twal/Sue/Grant
Locks:- Einsenhuth/Aloiai/maybe Sue
Edge backrowers:- Lawrence/McQueen/Taylor/Marsters

Lawrence was great yesterday.

That pack looks like it will be competitive next year.

Cleary said post match we are close to resigning Eiso. Hopefully it happens soon.

Re: Twal cant believe parra fans were saying the bloke was too small to be a first grader. he could probably do with another 2-3kgs but sizewise he is fine.

Great to see young Alex Twal holding his own in 1st grade. The kid has got a good off load in him, if Cleary wants to expand his game.

Who other than Lawrence would be captain? Entire backline is pretty much new or Brooks (who has his own game to worry about), front row doesn't look likely. Taylor the only other option?

Yes, I think Lawrence or Taylor. Just not sure if Lawrence will hold his spot down for next year. That said he did play well yesterday.
Do they still have club captains and team captains? Then Lawrence for club captain for mine.

He may well if McQueen isn't right to go or ET goes to NZ.

Very rangy kid too. Seems quite strong despite looking a little small for his frame.

im sure The Twal Doll will grow...Hes only 20 remember....
Wasnt sure about The Huth few weeks ago,but a real workaholic...going well
I'm more surprised how Grant is charging up last few games...(Me thinks its contract negotiation time)
I read he wants a 2 year deal for security but Tigers only looking at a 1 year.

Every NRL pack needs a proportion of uphill skiers, not all downhill skier Poly boys my 2 cents worth so pleased to see these two doing well

Twal looks like he has a bit more growing in him. Wouldn't be surprised to see him pack on a healthy 5 kilos over the off-season. He has the motor, all he needs is that extra bit of size and he will be such a good prop.

Prop/Lock rotation of Packer/Mautilino/Taylor/Sue/Eisenhuth/Twal is going to be so good to watch.

Got some punch about him as well as the workrate. There's a lot to like about him.

Another thing I enjoy is the pride they've restored in the jersey. You see blokes like marsters, LoLo, twal, mwz, einsenhuth after the game in post match interviews happy and proud to be playing for our club

has the frame to be a giant of a human being. Tbh having not seen him play before coming to us and looking up his height & weight I thought he'd struggle but he more than holds his own

It's good to see these guys buying into a new culture and playing for each other before the last remnants of the toxic "me first" culture are out the door.

You already have Woods covertly ruing his decision by saying that he'd likely have stayed if Cleary was here from the start of the year.

Building nicely into next year. Having some professional and experience heads like Reynolds, Packer and Matulino etc coming on next year will hold us in good stead.
