Matthew Lodge Arrested in New York

The message I got from it all isn't so much about the act committed (because if we're being serious here, Lodge should not be anywhere near the NRL based on the footage) but rather what has the individual done to see to it that it won't happen again, counselling, rehab etc.. whatever the case may be, neither you or I would know what has Carney done to get help but quite clearly what Lodge has done was enough in the eyes of many professionals in their respective field for him to get his contract approved in the NRL
it's been said before whenever these "Carney eyeing NRL return" headlines pop up that Carney isn't willing to jump through all the NRL's hoops to be registered. Despite whether we believe they should have been allowed back, Ferguson, Packer, Lodge have all gone through it to be registered, Carney hasn't yet.

I don’t think any of us has any idea what Carney has done off the field tbh to sort his shit out. There was talk he has been a high school teachers assistant up in Cairns since he got there last year, surely he would have had to have done some lead up work/counselling to be allowed to under take that sort of work.

Carney has focused on himself with the footy return in the media which has been a little disappointing.

I’d say if the Cowbs are serious in his services they will pull him aside and get him to show some contrition publicly about his deluxe muppetry in the past and get him sorted.

Why would the cowboys even want carney?
He is well past it.
8 years past it.
The new Benji

Back up to the back up I think Carch.

If Cootes hammy is dusty and Hampton is the fullback for an extended period of time, if Morgs or JT gets busted (morgs will be in origin as well), TMM will start in the halves so we’re pretty short on the bench for a utility.

Carlin Anderson might get shot at #1 which frees Hampton up for the bench but as with last year, injuries can cruel you.

Laybutt looks okay in the halves but he is pretty slight even though he is a good defender, I’m not sure if he is gonna make it in FG though.

Carney is like that cheap luggage insurance you get when you go on a holiday to Bali...... you hope you never need it but when shit goes missing....

Breaking News...

It's all good.

Lodge is turning to religion and becoming a muslim.

By the time Carney gets to the sideline he will do a hammy. Most injury prone player I've seen

Greenburg answered it, no one had requested carney be registered. You can’t blame the nrl for double standards when they haven’t actually been asked to make a decision!

I get the impression the Broncos fans who thought Lodge deserved to play in the NRL have changed their stance over the last 80 minutes
