I think they need to get serious though, I do think he will be a good one for us.
I think he will go with the money, if it gets to be a big difference. (e.g. if the $650k is real)
Our one advantage is, we have last bite, I believe.
I just watched the replay, I think Skelton and May will make a lethal combination, the problem is it was on the left and Masi is also a specialist left centre, it is a problem Benji needs to work out.
But we should finally have a pretty solid backline, with Bula at FB.

I think Skelton will be under pressure from May. I think Makasini has to go to left centre. The left winger is the question or maybe To'a will be under some pressure from May.

Turuva keeps his spot. Who knows what happens with Bula.

@Nutz as an ex centre, what was your impression on Mays game on Sunday
Very good for his first hit out. If he was a partner to To'a early this year..... Wow.
I want those two as our long term centres however Makasini will put a spanner in the works.
When Fainu is fit and running on the left with Jarome, May will have a field day.

Makasini will lock in a centre spot & May is also an exceptional winger albeit I don’t rate Toa

I rate To'a. Before he got injuried, which he's still hampered with, he was one of a few players leading the Dally M Medal as the best centre. He and Roosters Toia were the best.
He has raw talent. He needs to fix up his D though as he often arm grabs.
However Ted, it's a good problem that you and I disagree because it means there will be genuine competition for spots. Now all we need is for Benji to pick on form.
Most of our backup players in the past were barely KOE Cup std, that has to change.
Ideally, our squad next year needs to be stable. Chopping and changing unsettles a team.

No doubt Toa’s forte is attack but he has never been a consistent quality performer & his defense just isn’t good enough.Im absolutely fed up with this entire club & the inability of players especially outside backs to know the fundamentals of tackling. We will continue finishing our season in late august/early sept until the whole team develops grit & smarts in defense.

I can't argue with that.
I feel your pain :(
