Hey guys. As an avid Warriors fan who has been supporting his club since it was founded, I wanted to wish you guys well for the Grand Final.

I didn't want to say "good luck" because luck has nothing to do with it, and I didn't want to wish you "all the best" because that would be a Grand Final victory.

I know you guys cop a lot of hate, but from one league fan to another, I'm just hoping for a good contest and may the best team win. :thumn

The Warriors play great footy when they're on song, so I hope they are "on" for around 70 minutes and Manly for the full 80;-)

I think you'll find Manly have more admirers amongst Warriors/Kiwis fans than any other group too TBH- you were the favourite team of many of us before the Warriors admission to the comp due to the Kiwi connections you've always had, Graham Lowe, Ridge, Iro, right up to Foran and Matai now.

Yeah, but in saying that the only 2 teams that have had a measure this year where St Merge and the Tigers.

I was always worried about the Tigers, but thankfully they where on the otherside of the finals draw.

And the Broncos finish St Merge one point. I would not have been to disappointed if the Tigers had rolled us in the GF. They where coming into the finals on fire, but thankfully the just ran out of puff.

Be interesting to see our tactics early. I actual expect them to keep the ball away from Manu. Basically keep him out of the match for as long as possible.

Just send deep touch finds to the other sideline. He can't really have an impact if he never see's the ball.

lyon has already said we'll bomb the f**k out of him, could have been a misdirect though. they'll know after the first couple whether thats gonna be a successful tactic or not.

I don't think too many people (those that support the other 14 clubs) understand the close ties between Manly and NZ. It's funny that with the number of NZ players that have come through the ranks at Manly, it ended up being a bloke from Dee Why that takes you guys to a grand final against us. Under an other circumstances I would have been wrapped to see the Warriors win a grand final but alas I'm hoping they get done this week. Should be a great game. Good luck and enjoy the day regardless of the outcome.

Yeah, but I heard Evans in an interview today just briefly say that he might try to keep him out of the contest.

That makes more sense, because if Manu doesn't drop the first couple and runs back hard, he'll build in confidence and so will the team.

I do think they will test him with high balls, its just a matter of when, go early and he might prove to be troublesome all match. Bomb him late in the half and he might be be bored and not paying attention, because his been left alone for a long period.

There's half a dozen approaches, but I'm sure Des knows the best one....
