McClennan blasts referees

Madness!

New Warriors coach Brian McClennan has blasted the standard of NRL referees, accusing them of "not giving my boys a fair go" as the Warriors struggle for consistency in 2012.

McClennan says there were many referee errors in their Round 5 loss to the Sydney Roosters that were "simply unacceptable" for first grade referees.

"It breaks my heart to see my boys trying their guts out only to be denied at every turn by juvenile officiating. It's getting to the point where we might as well stop defending our line because we know we're just going to get penalised anyway."

"If Jared Waerea-Hargreaves didn't deserve to get sent off for his vicious attack on Ukuma Ta'ai, then I just don't know what will get you sent off any more."

McClennan is convinced that his Warriors would be higher up on the table if it wasn't for the "incompetent" men in pink.

"I heard all the stories before I got here about the bias against us Kiwi boys and I didn't pay much attention to it to be honest. But now I've seen it first hand and I'm struggling to see how everyone else in the NRL is able to turn a blind eye to it."

"My boys have been playing like champions for the last five weeks - it's about time we got a fair go."

It'll be interesting to see what sort of response this gets ... a fine from the NRL is pretty likely I suppose.

There were some dodge calls for sure, but come on, even if we got the rub of the green we'd have just dropped 'em all.

There's no way the refs lost us that game. The atrocious starts which are still plaguing us and having what must have been a 50% completion rate in the first half is. Perhaps Bluey should look in his own back yard before calling out the refs.

Ta'ai should get an Oscar for his acting. JWH hardly even touched him. He was ment to be hit on one side but walked off holding the other side.
Ta'ai has anyone told him you are ment to hold the side you are ment to be hit on ..... obviously not. This guy is a real Wayne Kerr ..... get what I mean.

Just out of interest, when you get hit in the left side of your jaw, it tends to injure the right side attachment.

I didn't know that ..... I'm not a doctor.
Like I said, he hardly got touched and took a dive.

 fair enough, was just throwing that out there.

I thought Ukuma milked it too, but it would have hurt, and it was high with intent. JWH deserved a report for that match regardless. Although I think he's awesome.

Yeah I should've given a point in the 3-2-1 for the hollywood performance...

Usually I defend Bluey, this early in the season...but in this case, BS. If anything the refs helped us last night.

All of Blueys credibility is going down the toilet. Blaming the refs? They had some strange calls but they had nothing to do with the butter fingers defense thank you very much.

Its like talking to an alcoholic:
First step - denial.
Second step - blame someone else.
