The fellas at work are talking this morning about this, does it raise a good point at the different coaching mindsets

Manly lose, Toovey says "we don't deserve to be in the top 8"

Storm lose, Bellany says "we don't deserve to be in the top 4"

Warriors lose, McFadden says "we weren't that bad"

He learned from Elliott, remember - but yeah, pathetic, he's lost me totally

Absolutely right. It's a message that permeates throughout a footy club. Bellamy sure as shit won't accept excuses (cheating maybe, but that's another debate). Toovey won't, I gained a lot of respect listening to him through the whole DCE crap and when they were last.

Brad Arthur is the best example. Absolute shit upon shit at that club, but he refuses to take excuses nor get too carried away. Result? They beat Manly, they compete with the best sides despite a shit list to start with that's got a hell of a lot worse with injuries. He's the coach I want.

But our coach blames previous coaches/administrators, injuries the lot. So our players say 'oh yeah there is a lot of injuries, gee that's tough on us' and we get served up the shit we've been getting. Which I'd argue is as much lack of good coaching as effort. Ivan never stood for that.

Let's wait and see which departing players that we shouldn't be playing get named for Sunday's game. Exciting times.

And for those keeping score at home, McFadden's record with the Warriors is now 47%, just ahead of Elliott's at 44%...two losses and he'll be worse. Make of that what you will.

Was watching CNBC last night and the incredible plunge on the dow and the sense of hysteria being transmitted across and all I could think is what would Cappy say.

"Andrew we have just seen a historic sell off across the markets, we have plunged finishing the day at -588 on the dow and fears are if Asian markets opens tomorrow and continues the slide we could be in for a full blown global economic meltdown - What are your thoughts and your suggestions?"

Cappy replies

"Look its not as bad as it looks, we held these stocks when they were performing and placed in the top 4% in the markets. We just have to plan accordingly and just realize we dont have the experience to predict and profit in the market yet. We are trying our guts out there to buy the right stocks and sell at the right time but we are just coming up short. We do hold our stock accountable and next week we will be letting go of some of our Tongan commodities and we will buy them back when the market adjusts again.

"Cappy can we trust your market judgement?"

"Yes you can"

"And why is that ?"

"I want a 10 year contract!,......... its not as bad as it looks ........ honestly its not as bad as it looks"
