Does anyone know about this guy, he came up to our table after the game and said he played Jersey Flegg or something for the Knights, he was a pretty solid looking dude with red hair, about the size of Matt Gidley but broader, we were trying to get more info out of him but he had to go.

The description sounds a lot like Luke Mercer.

The only player with a similar name i can think of was a prop named derek McVey who played several years ago. He was a big lazy bugger who could have been anything if he put in some effort. He went on to play for Manly, Balmain and caption coached Cessnock or Maitland just a few years ago.
