... yea, the Storm have posted me a package suggesting I might want to purchase 2008 membership ... I suspect they've obtained my name from a database having been to the last two Raiders games down south.

So ... question time .... what should I do ??

I say go for it, but if you do join you may aswell pack the family up and move down there. Tasmania wouldnt be too far away and with housing prices in Tassie you could buy a small suburb and become mayor.

You have always wanted people to care about your pointless ramblings, if you control a suburb you would have more chance than hanging around here.

Good luck champ

P.S I have heard rumours about Tasmania, don't let the kids have locks on their door...and definately go the separate rooms.

yea well anyway I might write back to the Storm CEO and ask him why he thinks a League supporter who attends two games at Olympic Park in two years, both coinciding with opposition from a team hailing from the great nations captial, and with a residential address coinciding with the nations capital would want to claim membership of his club.

Do you guys think this might hit the mark with the CEO

btw quinny you seem to know a lot about Tassie

Bay, why would you be a member of Collingwood (or whoever the f**k it is you follow) when you say you are such a strong supporter of the Raiders.

As for the Storm CEO inviting you, he probably has some sort of tax write off in mind e.g. send out x number of invites and you can claim it on tax.

Quinny, new subject for you to write about: Tasmania. I look forward to the results.

TITS I will answer to your first question with another ... are you related to ge?

With respect to your second statement I think it more a case of the storm CEO realising that supporters like myself are far and few between .... he is obviously attempting to wisk me from underneath the nose of Donny and Hawko ... luckily my loyalties lie with the Raiders and his endeavours will not bear fruit

Actually in all seriousness, it does show very proactive marketing by the club. Bay, I'm not sure how they got all your details (credit card booking perhaps?) but it's interesting that they keep records on this stuff.

Apart from any potential privacy issues it's an interesting way to promote the club - although I'm not sure how effective it would be based on interstate customers.

I've been a Raiders member in the past but from memory they never chased me up when I didn't renew my membership which was a bit strange.

I think the second part of your post validates my question. As for whether I am related to ge, I am not related to the best of my knowledge.

That would explain a hell of a lot....you definitely carry on like husband and wife most of the time :)

In all honesty, it is a great shame that your relationship with him has dissolved to the level it has. Perhaps some reconciliation drinks are in order??? It is XMas time, a time to bury old hatchets and celebrate all thats good in life. In the big scheme of things, the issues you argue about are petty and of little importance.

Just my thoughts,

KW
