Matt Currie – halfback – Brisbane Wests

girvie's top-17:

7 Matt Currie

If Mathew Currie plays NYC , the Storm should be charged with child abuse. In Brisbane he hasn't ever played Rugby league in the aged Premier Grade competition, always in a B grade division..

He is nice kid and sure his dad is an international but really he would more in right place riding at Eagle Farm than on an NYC footy field.

Expect BIG THINGS with Jess Bromwich. very good friend and part of my family.

Played for Manurewa Marlins (Auckland) as a junior and played a season in Premier grade for Richmond Bulldogs. Definitely going to be a GUN player at any club he plays at. I even reackon he could if given the opportunity play 1st grade. Younger brother Kenny is yet to have the enormous growth spurt Big Jesse has had.

I wouldnt be suprised to see Tomane & Proctor, if he's still eligable, to still play a bit of NYC. This gives Bellamy the option of using them as late injury replacements whereas if the only play JBC this option wont be available.

Didn't the Storm sign William Isa from the Panthers? He's eligible...or is he a permanent fixture in the top squad?

Louis Fanene, Aiden Guerra, Willie Isa, Aidan Tolman, Joseph Tomane, Kevin Proctor have all been included in the senior squad. I believe all are eligble for Under 20's so would expect to see a few in the line

Isa, Tomane, Proctor and Arana Taumata are young enough. Fanene, Tolman and Guerra are too old.

Thanks Girvie, going from memory so thought they may have just made it. Any word on Justin O'Neill. He has done most of the preseason and the Storm has big wraps on him yet not included in the squad.
