Mellor on the outer?

I was wondering if u guys also thought that Mellor who is a big solid player is on the outer while he is very solid he doesnt have the attacking flair others do have, is his demotion a sign to come

Had is chance Raper must have seen that his speed has now all but gone, Hodges is not the quickest player by far, but made Mellor look very very bad

A tad bit upsetting too, although as previously mentioned the knees aren't strong enough and his lack of pace and attacking flair means we're both stretched in defense and lack options on his side in attack. My parting memory, his try against knights when we out 60 odd on them, what a game, what a try.

from what i saw of mellor on the weekend,and i havent seen a replay yet...it was more his lack of speed/injuries rather than him not reading the play...he went with hodges and knew what he was doing...if that makes sense?it wasnt as bad as some of the other guys we've had there since Opes days and onwards...I think i saw the stat of one missed tackle for him?

Paul was brought in as a stop gap, and he has already made it known that it will be his last year.

The guy was never expected to set the world on fire this year...as a few have said, he was really only a stop-gap.

If our club was being managed properly, we would have had no reason at all to sign him.
