Mellor had an unhappy game agaisnt the Warriors didn't he? Gifted a try to Motu Tony. He did save a try, after a Meli kick and chase over a about 90 metres.

When Kimmorley scored to level the scores I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. My hopes were again dashed.

Overall I thought mellor was a pretty decent player for us. 2001 was his best year I think. I remember he made a try saving tackle on Tahu against the Knights in the prelim semis.
