Dane Tilse: Age 23, 200cm, 112kg, 40 games

It's about time someone put a cracker up his arse and told him to use what God gave him.

Most players have 'potential' otherwise they would've never made it past PL.

I'd bag Tilse more if he was the only one but Thompson and Miller are right up there in the soft serve department. Tilse needs to figure out how to use that size, and not end up on his backside every time he goes for a hit-up. Atleast he looks like he's fixed up his defense, in which he was statistically one of the worst for 2007.

The sad part is Tilse was nominated as one of the top 6 players of the year including Withers... and Miller won the coaches award in 2007. Kind of explains why we came 14th.

He fired up against the Knights in Round 3 and showed what he's capable of.

Done zilch since...

my point excatly ... that was last season and it was what I thought was the turning point .... he was part of the reason we won that night

As you say done zilch since other than potter around and being knocked over by guys half his size.

Statistically, Tilse was our best prop last year. Played more minutes than anyone. Made more hitups than anyone. Made more metres per hitup than anyone.

I think if some people could see past the hate, they'd see that we've got ourselves a pretty bloody useful prop.

I agree, what wew dont do is use him effectively, he should be out on the flanks running off a carney pass, attracting 2 defenders and slipping an offload to graham.

BINGO , 100% , I nominate you to ring Neil with this.

Why cant we use him the way Cartwright use to play , he looked so soft but damn he was good.

With Logan out he didn't go backwards against a big Penrith pack. Much better performance than last week.

Now we just need to get the halves and fullback in order.

After Powerpuff's performance against the Warriors today I feel compelled resurrect this tread ...

f**king eat some baked beans or something before a game Tilsey ... as a forward you're about as potent as my 99yo grandfather with hepatitis

He needs some lessons from Tom LL. Tom LL just switch to prop but hes already doing more than Tilse.

Yea but that's the other thing that worries me aussie .... TLL came to us as an injury prone 105kg second rower with enough lateral movement and speed to turn him into quite an effective centre ... we decided to bulk him up to 115 kg ... we've now got a lumbering forward who imo is not the same player ... he'll end up more injury prone than Weyman.

Tilse needs alot of everything to become a decent player but his first call should be Troy Thompson... Thommo use to run with that extremely soft motion but atleast he landed on his stomach and got a play the ball away within the hour...

He's improved though, I can remember his first game for us he got chopped in half by a winger. On the weekend he put an awesome shot on one of the Warrior wingers... Payback is sweet.

Unless he can break his neck in his sleep, I somehow doubt that prediction.

I dont think ive ever see Tilse in the casualty ward???

maybe once or twice but it was no longer than 2-3 weeks out?

the bloke should be jumping out of his skin at front row, he doesnt know how lucky he is to not being injury prone.

Say it a bit...but sh*t...he's still a young fella. He'll develop into a fine prop.
