How half of these bands can be considered 'metal' is beyond me, Dokken, Rhapsody and Hammerfall FFS...........

unless there is a theme tonight for DIO's passing and they are doing the fantasy metal thing in his honour, then fair enough, but this sh*t is pretty embarrassing.

Why? There is heaps of times they play metalcore or screamo for an hour. You asked how they can be considered "metal"... All of them are metal, just not your cup of tea. I can guarantee that all 4 of those bands you listed still have a pretty strong following.

Maybe you should write a letter so you can have the show tailored to your tastes, why on earth anyone would watch channel v for "quality" metal programming is beyond me any way, scheduling is almost always garbage.

In the metalcore genre I really like As I Lay Dying,Unearth and August Burns Red.

KsE have been really disappointing with their last few albums IMO, really bland albums.

One band that I can't get enough of these days is The Black Dahlia Murder, bloody excellent band. And they dont take themselves too seriously.
