In the metalcore genre I really like As I Lay Dying,Unearth and August Burns Red.

KsE have been really disappointing with their last few albums IMO, really bland albums.

One band that I can't get enough of these days is The Black Dahlia Murder, bloody excellent band. And they dont take themselves too seriously.

What Behemoth albums would you recommend Devy???

Unearth and ABR are the sh*t. ive always been a big fan of KSE but their last album was sorta kinda poop. AILD is another fave of mine...but even i get sick of em if i listen to more then 4 songs in a row lol.

I like all types of metal..lately big on deathcore bands like Carnifex, all shall perish and whitechapel...who are probably a step above your typical core band.

listened to a few of those Ayeron songs you boys speak of, not really my cuppa, but you can't deny there's some talent amongst their ranks.

ahhh the memories, listening to Amorphis in the '90s when they were good........ pity they are sh*thouse these days, bolt thrower, Gorefest, Armoured Angel....................................

But give me a decent power metal band any day over that, Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Edguy, Persuader, Sonata Arctica and Symphorce are some of my favourite bands. The topic of the music is always good for a laugh but they're all quality musicians.

If you like Iced Earth and Blind Guardian, check out Demons & Wizards, it has Hansi Kursch from Blind Guardian on vocals and Jon Schaffer from Iced Earth on guitar. Ridiculous name, but a quality band.

Same...composure and barbarian got me hooked. Constellations is one of the best albums ive ever heard, EVER,.. love every single song.

Unearth are good...but better live IMO
