I was having a yak with someone involved with the knights today [wont mention who] and when I asked how does hagan fair as a coach, he paused and said he's not that great of a coach. It came across like he wasn't a terrible coach, but far from someone that is good enough to do anything with a team that has johns on the field coaching the team.

I could really tell in his voice and from what he said, that hagan would be easily in the bottom half of coaches going around.

We won the comp in 2001. But look at the team we had and the experience on the field [as we all know, warren ryan played a massive part in winning us the 2001 grand final]

I was telling this man about my thoughts on the game strategy that the team was using and how I found alot of floors in it. I told him what the team would be much better suited doing, such as when a player does a hit up have some support play. As if there is support play, the defence holds off the player running the ball a little and keeps the support player in mind and then it's not prdictable footy and there can be 2nd phace play on offer, plus if he's getting dominated in the tackle, the support player can help him. I also said when in an attacking position, we went sideways with no purpose. We really should have got a player to do a hit up and do his best to get a quick play the ball and have players in motion and running good angles or hitting holes, rather then on there heals.

The man agreed fully. So I said well if I can see it, why doesn't the coach.
He looked at me in an understanding fashion and said. "I don't know mate". It was clear he thought the team was being short changed with ideas from the man in charge.

I know that, you know that, everyone in Newcastle knows that, but the man we pay to coach our team thinks it's a corker of an idea.

Baffling, to say the least.

Hagan should go now, he has proved to all and sundry over the past three years that he isn't up to it, this year he has been pathetic in his approach to team performance and individual performance, his public statements on it only prove what everyone knows.... He's soft, and devoid of ideas when his ideas man isn't around (Johns).

apparently hagan was worried that we'd need simpson out wide for his defence. But I said I can see the point in that. However canberra were never going anywhere other then up the middle and simpson wasn't needed to defend.

So if hagan thought we'd use him for his defence, he is even dumber then I thought.

Hang on a minute, didn't Dean Ritchie say every Knights supporter was right behind Hagan.

It can't be true.

I know this is not a spelling test etc, but I found this one quite funny.

To stick to the subject matter, however, ditch him.
