Interesting theory, but Scott Logan was easily Scotland's best forward and Ian Henderson was strong at hooker as well. Murphy was solid on the wing and Wynne was one of France's best.

To rate Robertson average on the back of one performance is as ridiculous as rating him a superstar on the back of one performance.

The truth is somewhere in the middle

never have and never will rate Robbo, he's an average winger and always has been, he played poorly for the scots. But this was abit over the top. As stated above, i dont think too many people rated him that highly anyways.

People were ridiculing Turner's selection before the match was played. Big difference. Turner would probably be close to the worst origin player ever. Most of the criticism was warranted.

I'm not a Manly fan and hardly rate Robertson, but the original poster still sounded to me like he had a serious axe to grind.

He did sound like that(re: axe grind), however Justin Hodges had a similar debut in SOO(i think), not saying Turner will get another shot and turn into Hudges, but one game doesn't make a career - applicable in both cases(Turner and Robertson)

No one is debating the claims of the players to be in the rep teams (obviously Turner didn't deserve his spot and Robinson did), but Turner was selected much like Robinson and both played like sh*t, one gets sh*t heaped on him for the rest of the year and the other people dismiss it as jealousy when a fan tries to give him some stick.

really cant agree with that - ones a bottom of the basement side - the one turner played for was origin - at the end of the day everybody knows that turner shouldnt and wont play that level again - howver if robinson plays s*it in the next game again he will be the first one picked again.

well its obvious Robertson aint no fullback, why McCormack put him there instead of Wade Liddell is a mystery so cant blame Robertson. theres no place in the team for him as Dean Colton the nl2 player had a great game on the wing and John Steel was good on the other wing.
McCormack wont drop him tho he likes his big name players, he does it for Widnes.

Turner was nowhere near origin standard and didn't deserve selection in the first place. What part of that don't you get?
