Yes, David Hughes has backed the club for years, they are still pro players which has allowed them to compete.

The greatest thing about this London team is where the players have come from unlike their 1999 Challenge Cup Final team which was mostly Aussies and Kiwis.

The team which beat Toronto was made up of 3 x Welshmen, 1 x Frenchmen and 6 from London/Southern England.

Only 1 Aussie and Kiwi were in the team and 5 players from the north including 1 from Sheffield.
What about that Maltese bloke?

Quite ironic that and very RL in that when the broncos were having their best spell both on and off the pitch their team was predominantly madeup of overseas players compared to now which is predominantly madeup of British players and academy products but has very little support.

And they have a great coach in Danny Ward.

Well what an incredibly exciting middle 8's tournament it was to sign off from the format. Well done London, disappointed for Toronto and Toulouse but they will both have good shots at automatic promotion next year with a three horse race seemingly likely between the two of them and Widnes. Leigh look gone.
