Boro for the second game in a row in UEFA cup have scored 4 goals to progress to the final against Sevilla.

3 second half goals again, last minute of regular time this match and in the 3rd minute of injury time last game against Basal, what legends.

Viduka was on target again to, he is hitting em from everywhere each game, good to see.

Both Sevilla and Boro have 3 top class strikers
Boro - Hasselbaink, Yakubu and Viduka, though Maccarone has been going well of late to.
Sevilla - Saviola, Luis Fabiano and Kanoute

Hoping for a Boro victory!

Viduka will break his both his legs in 9 differant places and Schwartzer will probally die in this match, if our trend of injuries continues...

Knowing that City were a Robbie Fowler penalty away from being the UEFA CUp (instead of Boro) makes it all the harder to hack.

Just a question, if Middlesbrough win the UEFA Cup, and Gunners win the Champions League, will Boro be let into the C.L for next year?

Boro seem to rise when Vidukes is in the team.

First name on aussie team sheet and holds up the ball like Peter Crouch and all the other Pommy hacks would dream of doing. FORZA VIDUKES!

Well Boro's european journey ends with a flop. Figured Sevilla would be too good, Boro has had some sparkling wins in the cup this year, but they haven't really played top class opponents; Sevilla is a big step up from the Steaua's, Basle's and Roma's of the world.

Was hoping at least that Viduka would produce something special. Schwarzer can't really be blamed for the four goals, it was some pretty poor defending and some great skill from their opponents.

Maresca official MOM for being johnny on the spot in the last fifteen minutes; Jesus Navas was my pick, great second half. And Daniel Alves was very good as well.

It'd be nice to see this side sneak into the champions league, they're just as good as Villarreal, but their last two league games are against Real Madrid and Barcelona, and they need to take at least four points.

they were awesome with Baptista there, if he was still there they would have some amazing attacking flair in Baptista, Kanoute, Saviola (brilliant imo), Luis Fabiano

I got up to watch how the Aussies went and didn't get the morning I had hoped.

Swartzer is a good shot blocker but he has to do 1 of 2 things. 1. Learn to catch properly or 2. If the ball has too much heat on it, punch it! You can't fumble the ball twice in a Cup Final to the feet of the strikers within the 6 yard box despite the poor defending. It is simply poor keeping.

Viduka should have buried that volley. I know it was a good save but you just have to make sure you score there, especially 1-0 down in the 2nd half of a final. His next chance from the Hasselbaink lay off was not an easy one but you just have to hit the target or at least make the keeper work. When the ball isn't on a platter for him he really does seem to struggle and gets lazy, he always has. I'm still glad he is playing for the Socceroos at the WC because when he is on, he is really on. When he is struggling he often doesn't work himself into games and goes missing.

The best part of the night was that Seville fan. Really shows how much the game and your team can mean to a person and the emotions the game can stir.

Downing, expensive version of Lazaridas:lol::lol::lol:
Hasselbaink
The defence, space they gave Maresca.
Mark Viduka, the service he got was pathetic, he seems to miss easy chances when his midfield isn't functioning, thank god, Kewell-Culina-Bresciano will be feeding him at the WC.
