I doubt Freddy will actually have Minichiello play 5/8. We'll probably see him drop back to the wing for Hauraki (who seems pretty good but we need SKD for his aerial presence) and Ben Jones to the #6.

I guess this is just Freddy's out idea to unsettle the Tigers

Surely it's a decoy. He's hoping the opposition will focus on stopping Mini at 5/8 and have their attack focused on sending forward at him all game in hopes of re-injuring him.

I can't imagine any other reason a coach would bring a bloke who has struggled with injuries over the past few season and then force him to play in a position with a higher defensive workload against bigger players.

Well mini confirmed on the BSB that he will be playing there, alternating with Sa.

When asked by TK what are you doing there, he basically replied "I don't know mate" and had a laugh.......
He did add that Freddie didn't want to change the back three, and asked him if he wanted to have a go at 5/8th, and replied he was willing to have go. Well it seems that the wing position is more critical than a play maker.

Freddie obviously loves putting pressure on Pearce....Freddie the career coach....
