That was probably the most hectic last minute in grand final history.

Imagine if they'd scored, how totally different would our emotions have been.

But they didn't & it added to the emotion of it all!

The game against the Cowboys atmosphere was so different in the second half. Joyous and even a bit relaxed.
That second half was full of tension and emotionally nerve wracking. That one minute of panic just added to the utter relief of 50 years. I don't think I could survive that again.

I don't know if I could ever recover from that.

Might have been the last straw for me and I have been supporting them for 40 years.

Would have been way too cruel for me to ever have any hope again.

My mate who I went to the game with videoed me during the last 2 minutes of the game. I am not sure I want that released to the public. There are tears and all sorts of man hugging with strangers. But it is awesome to have it as a memento of what that game meant to me, and the sheer terror during the last minute, then a total relief and outpouring of emotions after 35 years of hoping.

The last play - in hindsight and now knowing that the sharks win, I would much prefer that to the feeing of the wrk before vs Cowboys. We knew we had won mid way though the second half. My emotions didn't really go crazy when the full time siren went. The GF on the other hand, and the way it finished.... that was maximum emotional rollercoaster and the best way to do it!

What incredible defense. They were not good enough to break it. They didnt make errors of judgement. They were not good enough to break our fatigue or the try line.
Stopp giving these cheating dead beats credit

Yeah I have to say, watching the replay we scrambled like crazy, how Lewis had the energy to sprint to the left in the 80th minute is beyond me.

That's the thing, you will never have to.

I thought they had a massive chance to the left if they flung it out to Blair who would be up against Beale in the corner.
