Funny how that coincides with Australia being the most talented TEAM of this era-by FAR !!!!!!!!! 8)Lara is the most talented batsman of this era-by FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hayden, despite a superior avg and all will only be deemed good when his career is over.
Lara produces innings when it counts...some of you seem to be forgetting what happened after WI were bowled out for 51 or stg in their own backyard.
Im sure the fans would prefer to win a few more tests and series though, rather than slump to the cricket gettoMost WI fans couldnt care less if the score was 3-0 or 3-1,
.but this record brings a sense of ownership, first sobers, then lara, then theif hayden(they think) and again lara...it gives back a sense of pride
The series was lost but one thing they gained was the world record...something that's not achieved too many times...just ask hayden when his career is over!
about consistency...that is the most overated word! none of your australian bats are consistent (look wat happened in SL, where we had you on the ropes but one or two guys would dig you out, like Langer and Katich in the last test, Hayden in the 1st and Lehmann in the 2nd,...)
In fact the only 'consistent' batsman in my book would be Rahul Dravid. A few years ago, i would have thrown in Chanderpaul, but not of late.
Ponting and Hayden in the same sentence as consistency and Dravid....huh

You re a dead set idiot. Hayden only deemed good when his career is over :?
I suppose you say that because he's an evil WHITE man.
No Aussies are consistent
Hayden scored over 1,000 test runs in 01, 02 and 03 averaging over 60 each year.
Langer scored over 800 test runs in 01, 02 and 03 averaging over 40 in each year.
Ponting has also been consistent by year. See record
Have a look at their records before going on with your usual crap making yourself look stupider by the minute.
And now you speak on behalf of West Indians and say they think Hayden is a "thief" ?
Piss off back to whatever sewer you crawled out of.

do me a favour...go to www.caribbeancricket.com and read a few of the posts on the message board!
sanjane said:also, lets say BC gets another 400 (if anyone can, its him!) but follows it up with 3,5,8,27,46,33and 2...if my maths is correct, he would still have scored a 1000 runs in a calendar year! Is that however consistent??????
because if that is, then BC is one of the most consistent of ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!look at his average, look at the no,of innings he's played and you'll come to the same conclusion!!!!
El Duque: stumped Sangakkara bowled Sanjane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
El Duque said:Why are they taking so long with his mate?
Surely they've got all the test results to say whether he chucked the balls his former coach was watching?
The same coach who said he'd defend his action to the grave or some sh*t
They should've had him bowling to a batsmen from every country, not a former bloody cosch who's made no hiding he thinks his action is legal.

read your first line MATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HAHAHAHAHA~~!!!!
you called me that first!!!!
you also called me a dickhead, which as an administrator, you SHOULD NOT DO (sorry, this is Australia where swearing is a must!!!)...anyways
El Dick...i'm 2/0 now, do you want to pad up for your third innings!!!!
sanjane said:"Why are they taking so long with his mate?"
who were you talking to? Who did you want the answer from? someone else, cause obviously i was referred to as a "his" in that question...geez...........
sanjane said:and also WI fans saying the record is WIndian should always be etc etc means that they DON'T think of hayden as a thief eh? just a friendly burglar who returns things after 5 months!!!!HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
El Dick, if you have something constructive to say about my initial post, pls do, they're welcome but otherwise....stay off this thread, just like your doctor told you to stay off those drugs...champ...oh that's right, you're not one of those EITHER!

booligal bill said:balmain boy- the token idiot here is you.
If you are going to comment on this sort of thing, it would be appreciated if you could atleast have some knowledge of the game. You say it would have been a draw anyway, well how do u know that? If they declared with an hour to go on day 2 they would have had the Pommy openers out there who had been in the sun for nearly 2 days-an ideal time to take wickets regardless of how good the wicket is.
booligal bill said:Even S.Waugh daid on talking sport the other night that if Lara batted on it would have been for individual achievement rather than chasing a team result. I certainly respect the judgement of Waugh and Roberts more than you.
booligal bill said:As for you saying Lara is better than Hayden , well you really are proving you have no idea. In the previous 7 innings (when it really counted) he scored just 100 runs, and the windies lose all 3 tests. In Australia in 2000, he failed repeatedly against Magarth and co. Even in the last test against the Poms on day 5, he did a Ganguly and spent most of the day off the field. You didnt see Hayden do that after his 380.
booligal bill said:But thats ok, you just be happy to play for a draw and let self achievemnt over ride the team winning. Thank God you will never captain Australia with that attitude.
sanjane said:Timbo said:ED Can't you bar him from this forum or somthing?
keep trying mate, one day you might leap over kegg, but El Dickhead is catching up too!!!!!
