Look at his explanation for whitewashed for example.

He never said "whites and us have different ideals and viewpoints". He used the term to discredit Bedi He's virtually calling Bedi a white man as if that's a bad thing and therefore his opinion matters little.

Just look back through his posts and you can see the hatred in them. He disgusts me.

look, Ricky Ponting will go down as great, Adam Gilchrist likewise, McGrath and Warne already are, but of the rest...they're just good! They may seem great now, but look 10 yrs after their careers are over. You'll remember Hayden and Boof and all the rest, but us international supporters will remember Warne, Murali, BRIAN Charles, Dravid, Gilchrist, Tendy, McGrath, Vaas, Kumble... and maybe Ponting, Chanderpaul as great but no Hayden, Langer....(there's a reason Hayden has only played about 5 years of continuous cricket...that rules him out as a great player in anyones book!)

1. I think most would agree that Tendulkar is actually the most talented batsmen of this era.
2. Lara has played twice as many tests as Hayden, so given they're both class players, I'd expect Brian would be disappinted if he hadn't scored more runs, more centuries and more 50s...
3. Hayden opens and has the superior average...
4. An average of 57 opening, doesn't leave any room for debate in terms of greatness.


They're both superb players, and you're just stoooopid - to be fair though, same pitch, same result... and how can "when it counts" be in a dead rubber, series lost, featherbed pitch....

And yes, BC Lara is the best Batsmen in the world and Hayden has no chacne at the record - there's a reason only 2 men have scored 2 triple centuries.

I can't believe people come up with this argument. The question should be: where were his team-mates when Lara was alittle out of form with a finger injury? As usual, they were nowhere to be seen.

Lara failed in six innings as captain, and because the team lost people want to blame him. Well Ricky Ponting also failed in Sri Lanka and finished the series with an average of about 30. Why arent people on his back claiming he doesnt perform when it counts? Oh i know why, its because he has the quality teammates around him to still win the series.

The funny thing is, Ponting came out of that series will people saying "he's adjusted to captaincy brilliantly", whereas after the Windies series in SAfrica where Lara batted his heart out and scored a double ton, and another ton and a couple of half-centuries, people questioned his captaincy because they lost the tests 3 nil. But anyone could see that wasnt his fault because despite his efforts they simply didnt have the bowlers.

And you talk about Lara's consistency, awell it's a complete myth that he isnt consistent. He is the fastest batsmen in history to reach 9000 test runs, faster than Tendulkar and faster than Steve Waugh and Alan Border by about 40 innings. :shock: Are you going to tell me that Tendulkar was incocnsistent and Waugh and Border were incredibly inconcsistent? The ONLY reason people assume he is incocnsistent is because the Windies lose all the time. But he cant help that if he doesnt have the bowlers AND the batsmen to help him out when he fails. I mean look how Steve Waugh went against India when Aus were without McGrath and Warne. India scored runs at will yet that wasnt Steve Waugh's fault was it.

I rate Lara as the best player on his day. Lara is the one out of Tendulkar, Hayden, Waugh, Border and all the great players of recent times that when he gets a hundred it is usually a huge one. Double hundreds triple hundreds. I am glad Lara got the record back as it is a great achievement aqnd it was against a better quality opposition that Zimbabwe were. But I don't rate Lara above Hayden or Tendulkar. These three are the best attacking players I have seen along with IVA Richards and to seperate them would be doing an injustice. Dravid, Waugh, Border all good players but the above quartet will be revered as greats when they are finished.
