As I’ve said before, even those who detest our club with vitriolic venom can’t find a bad word to say about Aubo.

If he doesn’t get to play again he can hold his head high and reflect on a wonderful career.

It kinda has a bit of the “fairytales” about it if he does somehow make it back around finals time. I’m quietly optimistic given he said he wont be having surgery before then. So there’s some hope he can make it back for a swan song.

But if that doesn’t eventuate it’s probably fitting he shares the mantle of most club games with Mini.

They’re setting him up for a career at the club after his final game. Given his versatility, I imagine he’ll jump between assistant coach, development officer, a marketing role and CEO plus drive the team bus.

Haha yep

On a serious note he is apparently a very astute fellow who has a reasonable prospect of becoming an executive within the game.

A wonderful servant to the greatest club of all who is the best example in the modern era of maximising average talent and drafting out a HoF career on work ethic and perserverance.

I hope he breaks the games record for our club.

On a side note, can we all please play up how this retirement will free up at least $1M in the cap for us next year? Just for the lols.

I believe he has a business degree or is at least finishing one? Bernie Gurr got to be CEO so there’s a precedent.

I was just coming in to suggest this very thing. Fafita set to backflip on the Titans deal is a lock.
