Unfortunately even with Pearce out NSW are stuck with other useless duds like Woods and Jackson for the next 5-6 series at a minimum. Seriously cannot understate how terrible jackson is. He ran for less yards across the ENTIRE SERIES than Cordner did in any single game.... and Cordner played tonight on 1 leg

It would not surprise me if an investigation was done into Pearce and his family and they discovered they had payments being made in an offshore bank account from an untraceable source. There's just too much money involved for origin to die out which would have happened if the tables were turned in NSW's favour. In all honestly Pearce has had a greater influence on QLD's decade of dominance then any other player from either team, surely no one can be that bad unless they were deliberately trying to be. I think what's happened is they've been paying off Pearce to help deliver QLD series after series and being the son of a NSW legend, the guy was always protected from any criticism and each year after failure after failure they build him up with some story of how he's changed after a few good club games and use that as a justification for his selection into the NSW, he helps QLD to another series victory, he gets paid, the media make a tonne of money, QLD are happy and origin is kept alive.

I don't think he should be selected again but it's hard to decide who actually should replace him.

Moylan is playing lots of five eight so maybe him and Maloney next year could do something together but that's literally the only option. Apart from that it's Maloney/A. Reynolds (Reynolds bad this year) or something like J. Reynolds/Maloney (Not sure how that'd go)

Pearce is the best half that NSW has. Who else are they going to select. It wasn't his fault they lost. It's not fair to put it all on his shoulders. Look at how well NSW went in Game 1. He scored two tries this series. He has the most Origin experience of any available NSW halfback. People are too hard on him. He is a really nice bloke. He is the first person that the selectors choose for the side.

Pearce is really maturing as a player. He is a natural leader. He is very vocal with the guys. Guiding them around the park. He takes control of the plays. He is the organiser of the team. He is constantly working off the ball. He is a good defender. Did I mention that his game has really improved? He has a natural partnership with James Maloney. They won a premiership together. He kicked a field goal. He has learnt a lot from his previous Origin games. He has found a way to win. NSW are building a dynasty.

Pearce has been that way forever. he has zero vision he follows the plan no matter what happens and what the situation. Ive seen him fluff more overlaps than any other player due to his premeditated attack and lack of vision.
