Right. So all Pearce had to do was land the ball on the grass more often and NSW would have won. Lol.

You guys should be blues coach you have all the answers
I'm not claiming to have the answers, I just believe that Pearce himself contributed to the forward domination with his predictable kicking game.
In the opening exchanges the teams were going tit for tat and it was Qld's superior kicking game that led to them gaining the upper hand.
It was all downhill from there for the Blues.

as a qld supporter, even i feel sorry for you poor, long suffering foreskin-sniffers.
Hey hey... wait a minute.... don't get to feeling too sorry for us.... We may be poor and long suffering... But we are not foreskin-sniffers.....

Well, maybe a couple of the souffs fans, but most of us keep our noses well away from the general tockley zone....

Most of the kicks you are talking about are when the blues are struggling to get out of trouble so he's just reefing it as far as he can under heaps of pressure. Of course it's going to hit the fullback on the full most times particularly when it's someone as experienced as Slater. Zero to do with the result of the game.

Pearce was useless no doubt.

But what about "Artie" Fifita?

Remember that crap after game one?

Artie's turds were better than him. I wonder if he's going to have a cry about not getting any respect this time.

Josh McGuire said words to the effect of "we knew you were shit" and "you are just shit c---s".

Hard to argue.

This whole 'he can't play unless the forwards dominate'

Apart from origin 1 this year, name a game where either sides forwards completely dominated for 80 minutes. Since 2011 the forward battles have been stalemates in almost every origin game. You might get 10-15 minute patches where one set of forwards slowly get on top, but usually the other pack will get back into it. The difference is when queenslands forward go through those periods, smith and cronk take full advantage. When our forwards do, we kick straight down slaters throat so he can run it to the 30m line and help get his forwards back into it.

Unless you expect Pearce to turn into a 110 kg prop and do some line bending hit ups and quick play the balls then there's not much he could have done to change the result. NSW were beaten in the forwards.
Sure, but that wasn't the case in the first two games

i dissagree.

the blues pack dominated the 1st half in game 2 & led.

the maroons pack held them in the second half & then got a roll on & their class players got them home.

the maroons pack only needed to match the blues & they had the classy players (champions in fact) to win.

the blues have had a succession of at best solid halves which have only won games when their pack has clearly dominated.

a pack being on top for only a couple of sets or even 15 minutes isn't going to win a game with only solid first grade halves.

correct me if i'm wrong but i cannot recall a big game such as origins or finals being won by packs that weren't either dominant or at least matching the other - no matter who the halves were.

210 minutes with 0 try assists. 0 linebreak assists. Every kick was down the throat of Queensland. He also sucked in defence.

30 minutes without him in Game 1 we take a small lead and make it a huge lead.

That is not a coincidence. Nor is winning 2014 when he wasnt there. He is literally the worst player available. 10 point lead in Game 2 to win the series. All the ball. Forwards dominating.... he done f**king nothing except waste it all.

Maybe if Mitch didn't kick the ball down queensland's back 3 throats every kicking opportunity his forwards might have a chance of being dominant instead of having to play catch up because their mong halfback can't f**king kick.

Absolutely f**king hopeless.

pearceoff is a hall-of-fame origin gimp.

but his kicking game behind that pack of soft turd squeezers was never going to change the outcome.

He just cannot handle the pressure and expectations, he is good at club level, won a premiership but soon as he gets in origin he can't deliver anything meaningful.

His long kicking game being average can be explained by lack of forward platform but the first good attacking opportunity the blues get he passes it into the backside of a decoy runner and turns it over. Several times he has poor passes to players who coughed it up and he came out of the line at 12-6 and gifted munster a line break to pretty much finish the game off when the blues where actually looking like they might be getting on top.

After all the origins he had played he has not had even a 5 minute period when he took control and made something happen, any of his highlights are basic backing up for a try after someone has broken the line or passing to someone who beats his man individually, and they're far outweighed by basic errors and brain explosions at critical times.

Not only does he really offer nothing to the team he genuinely handicaps them, they would be a better team just putting a solid mobile back rower there and letting maloney and hayne float around trying to create something.

You could argue Pearces shit kicking game gassed the nsw forwards pretty quickly. I'm
Fairly sure he did not find touch once

Compare Cronks kicking game to Pearce and it's daylight

i'm not arguing that his kicking game was worse than a broken stapler.

but that pack was crap from the kick-off. the hall-of-famer's kicking game had nothing to do with that.
they certainly weren't tired at the start. they were simply navel gazing.

Lol

You're a bit simple aren't you?

If Woods made 150 metres would NSW have won? No. That alone would not have done it.

Just the same as Bitchell finding space with his kicks.

But he has NEVER had an effective kicking game and NEVER had any attacking creativity and NEVER dictated play in an Origin game. Never. Not once.

So piss off with your Roosters love for him. He's a great club player. Be happy with that and stop defending the indefencible.

Slightly off topic.
However, f**k these merkins and their demands for more pay.
Hand your match fee back, give it to Nathan Ross and a few other merkins out there who give 100x the effort the likes of Woods and fat fita put in last night.
Money hungry grubs failing to deliver.
I don't give a shit if these merkins think they are 'the product', i dont want to watch Woods plod it up. I want to watch some f**king heart and soul deliver something.
Take your stupid flat caps and f**k off.
