The Dodgers are going to win the world series. I'd put $100 on it but its only paying $5 so not worth the effort.

I think the Yankees win game 3 today but go down tomorrow. Tomorrow will be the young pitcher Schlittler who was fantastic a week ago but last time he played the Blue Jays they just got wood on him all day, fouled off etc and got his pitch count up to 70 after 3 innings and it was too much for the young fella. The Jays are so good at that business of somehow keeping at bats going.

Watching this game 3, Judge just took a pretty good catch low down in the outfield and the commentator referred to it as "picking it off" which sounds to me like terminology seeping through from NFL into baseball. I like that phrase and we should get it into NRL for intercepts and also when bombs are caught by the defense.

The Yankees need to part ways with Boone. They need a short stop who can field and get hits. They also generally need 3 or 4 batters who get on base more even if they don't hit 20 HRs per season.

What a pleasant day it was yesterday when the Yankees were eliminated by the Blue Jays. Now I can enjoy the rest of the playoffs without the worry that the Yankees might get another World Series ring.

Really hoping my old home town, Seattle, defeat the Tigers tomorrow to reach the ALCS against the Jays. The last time the Mariners reached the ALCS, I was sitting there in my Seattle apartment in 2001, totally gutted when the Yankees eliminated them in 6 games, especially after the Mariners had won 116 games in the regular season. That loss really hurt. I'll never forget it.

If we could have a Mariners-Toronto ALCS, I really feel good about the Mariners' chances of reaching their first ever World Series.

On the other side, I'd like to see a Phillies-Brewers NLCS, with a Brewers win. Then, we would have two teams in the World Series who have never won the whole thing. What a treat it would be to have Seattle and Milwaukee in the World Series... especially if it goes to 7 games. That would indeed be glorious.

Anything can happen but the Dodgers are big favorites from here and have been all year. They won last year easily and the roster got better not worse. I could handle Seattle, Brewers or the Blue Jays winning.

Phillies really have blown it. They had a great chance this year and the bats didn't perform and then lose on an error.

Both New York teams not featuring in world series is big given their rosters. If my team doesn't win I hope the mariners do it

Maybe the cubs will complete a massive upset tomoz

Did U see Kershaw yesterday. What a bludger of a session
Saved his worst season for his last.

Crushing way for the Phillies to lose that one. That pitcher may never recover. He should have thrown to first, but he was flustered under the pressure, and he f**ked up.

Big game today. Really want the Mariners to go through. But they're up against Skubal.

I only just realised that during the post season they change the rules such that in extra inning they don't start with a runner on second.
Edit: its currently bottom of the 13th. They should bring in the regular season rule ffs.

The Mariners have done it! They're through to the ALCS. What an epic game of baseball.

Can't wait for the Mariners-Blue Jays series to begin.

Now, tomorrow, we see whether the Cubs or the Brewers will go through to meet the Dodgers. I'm hoping for a Brewers win.

Well my dodgers have had issues this year with both the cubs and brewers so either for me. What about that mariners and tigers game. 15 innings. Wow

In the regular season, it's a good thing. I guess they brought it in during Covid, to reduce playing time. But I like that they went old school for the playoffs and removed the automatic runner on 2nd. These games, for the most part, are far more important than regular season games and if they go 24 innings, then so be it. There's more at stake.

Yeah ok if starting games in the middle of the day etc but if starting at 7pm it makes for a late day

Actually you know what I'm not a fan of. Pinch runners. If you are an at bat and you make it to a base I think you should stay there and try and make it home doesn't matter how slow you are

Fair enough. As for pinch runners, at least the hitter has to leave the game and cannot return.

Nice to see the Brewers win today. They deserve it.

Both of the LCS series should be great. Mariners vs Blue Jays Game 1 tomorrow!

what shits me is intentional walks. You have the be the most traditional fan of baseball to be fine with intentional walks. They could tighten that up.

As a sharks fan I know what the mariners supporters would be going through. I hope they make the WS finally

And then lose to the dodgers lol
