When the Dodgers have won the world series 4-1 a few weeks from now they will have, I think, formally taken the title of Evil Empire from the Yankees.

The Yankees will always be Darth Vader

Although I do agree that most people want LA to lose even before the WS

A Bit of Trivia in relation to best of 7 games MLB post season series

93 times a team has led 2-0 in a best of 7 games post season series - 78 times the team that led 2-0 have gone onto win the series vs 15 times a team down 2 -0 has gone onto win the series.

Of those 15 wins - 10 have come in the World Series - 2 in the American League Championship Series and 3 in the National League Championship Series.

Only one MLB Team has come back from 3-0 down to win a best of 7 post season series - Boston Red Sox a 4-3 winner vs New York Yankees back in 2004 in the American League Championship Series.

Boston Red Sox went onto to sweep the St Louis Cardinals 4-0 in the World Series

Certainly both the Blue Jays and Brewers have to win game 3 - both need to win at least 2 of these next three games which the way both are playing could be a bridge too far.

Well the Bluejays bounced back in a big way today. Hope the Brewers don't do the same tomorrow

LA Dodgers take game 3 - A 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers to take a 3-0 lead in the best of 7 series.

I would say the NLCS series will be wrapped up in either game 4 or 5 by the Dodgers.

All Square in the ALCS

Toronto Blue Jays take game 4 with a 8-2 win vs Seattle Mariners to level the series at 2-2

Moving day (game 5) - The winner will take a 3-2 lead and will be one win away from advancing to the World Series

Games 1 and 2 - Batting
Mariners - 17 hits / 9 BB /25 K'S/ 4 HR
Blue Jays - 8 Hits / 8 BB/ 9 K's / 1 HR
Runs - 13-4 Seattle

Games 3 and 4 - Batting
Blue Jays - 29 hits / 7 BB / 14 K'S/ 7 HR
Mariners - 13 Hits/6 BB/ 18 K'S / 4 HR
Runs - 21-6 - Blue Jays

Certainly the Blue Jays have been more aggressive in the batting box these past 2 games, ( Games 3 and 4 )

What Ohtani did yesterday has got to be in the frame for best individual sports performance in maybe our life time. It won't even get on the TV here but yeah, off the charts.
3 - 3, 3 HRs, 6 innings pitched, 2 hits, 0 runs.
Take a bow.

I'm 47. I haven't seen anything better than what he did yesterday. He is the best athlete on the planet. He may go down in history as the greatest of all time in any sport of any era.

If he can stay healthy while pitching it is possible. What about Bradman though?

Trout's best years were probably before Ohtani arrived in 2017. He's not played anywhere near a full season of 162 games since then.

As good as Ohtani is, the Dodgers don't win with guys like Kike, Edman, Muncy, Teoscar etc.

The starting pitching has been outstanding, Betts & Freeman are 1st ballot HOF players, but the support players are a massive reason why they win.

Mariners can't win and so we go to a Game 7.

I'm nervous.

Come on Mariners, you're the only team who have never been to the World Series. The time is now.
