After management made his contract details public in the media he was never going to stay.

Good luck to him, he's been fantastic for us.

Come off it Thickos, you really think that publication made any difference-poor oll Moggy dropped the bottom lip-what an ungrateful pri-k, the same bloke the "Raiders" released from his contact so he could pursue his French soiree-Au Revoir Monsiur Mogg and good riddance!!

Mate he seemed pretty unhappy. He was willing to listen to what the Raiders had to offer but then details were made public. IMO he was probably less likely to listen to what Canberra had to offer after this... but I still think he was always going to honour is Catalans deal.

Yeah, as much as I don't like any team publicising their contract offers, I think that was a bit of a cover by Mogg to make himself look like the good guy. At the end of the day we RELEASED him from a CONTRACT yet he still had the nerve to act all pissed off about it. Still, he doesn't want to be here so good luck to him.

The problem with this incident is that it once more makes us look amateurish.

We have a load of young talent contracted till 2008/2009 .. the likes of Carney and Zillman come to mind.

If we dont start getting results, or at least look like we are heading in that direction, these players are going to look for greener pastures and it wont take much more than a whisper in one's ear from a Gus Gould and they'll be gone in a flash.

Hence we need some 'high profile' signings ... not just for their football talents but also to give the club back some credibility in terms of player gains and retention.

As I've said before, we are now identified by players/managers as a footballing backwater and it will need a sudden infusion of viagra to get that reputation of our backs.
