Moltzen

He was fantastic in my opinion. It was a great effort.
As much as I think the guy is a f**king gimp, yes, he had his best game of the year, but still nothing more than what is expected of the top bracket of fullbacks every week. He needs 10 or 12 of them to convince me he's reliable and worthy of a new contract.

Moltzen was solid and put the body on the line , i can live with those sort of performances if he is going to remain at 1. Rather a real fullback tho

Don't you think though that he has to be in the squad somewhere.

I still think he has a ways to go even to match Beau's effort at fullback last week.

He has been much improved. I hoped today though that he would play at half, so as not to f**k around our entire backline yet again.

Beau is some player - he is something special. Moltzen though is a more dangerous runner of the footy with more to his game.

that maybe, but its only 50 percent of whats required from him.

I'd be happy to sacrifice 30 percent of Moltzen's running game, so as to have the defensive aspect increased from 10% to 40% by having Ryan at fullback.

Move Moltzen to 7, Benji at 6, Ryan at 1, Aysh and Rowdy in centres....wow, its starting to look like players are in their natural positions.....

In the media it's saying that Leeds Rhinos are in competition with the Raiders and Wests (if/when you offer a new contract) for Moltzen next year. Are you happy to let him go and is there a chance he will come to the UK? I've always thought he was a good player who can play in most back positions and would be a quality addition to the Rhinos team.

He'd probably go well in the UK. I think the style of league they play there would suit his skills.

You want him in a position where he doesn't have to put his body on the line, get tackled, pass the ball, kick or field a kick.

Do Leeds have a touch footy side?

Great post. Whilst I think he is slightly above average, I think if he didn't have benji setting him up for a few tries here and there he would be classed as an average first grader. Watched him from u20s and don't know how he has been touted as a future star. Just my opinion.

Looks like he is resigning with us. Good to see his ability, effort and love of the club rewarded.

The only question for me is where do you play him. To me he is a player that has to be in the spine but we have a lot of good players in those roles. The only other option that I see is at centre. Moltzen and Lawrence in the centres would make a massive difference to our pace out wide.

I find it hard to believe that the tigers would even consider re signing the average spineless peaheart Timid Moltzen. Best position is the crowd (St.George crowd of course).
We already have sufficient players who are overpaid and under performing every week with little consequences. Enough is enough.
Tigers urgently require a new coach with new winning approach together with severing of pets!
