Monday Night Football

With NRL games now being played on Monday nights, i was wondering if there will be any Premier League or Jersey Flegg games played on Monday nights as well. Does anyone know?

Because many players aren't full time i was thinking that some players would find it difficult to play Monday nights if they are working. And they could probably only fit in one of Premier League or Jersey Flegg on Mondays at 5.30 or 6pm. Because i think it would be impossible to have one at 3.30 or 4pm.

If they can do it on a Friday I am sure they can on a Monday.

What you may find though is that only one curtain raiser will be played and the 2nd curtain raiser would be a stand alone fixture at a suburban ground.

The difference is that Friday is the end of the week and Monday is mid week and they will have to work the next day.

Working the next day will not be an issue for clubs. They play games on Sunday after all. It may be Sunday arvo and not Sunday night but after playing a game of elite RL, four hours will not make much of a difference.
