God was just interviewed and said that he had been having preliminary talks with matty and his manager

*there'll certainly be a home for him back here if he chooses to come back

*he wants to finalise his future as soon as possible

*seemed semi confident .....but then again, the ARU has got a bucketload more cash than us plebs

I love the Sharks.
I dont care if he can play or not but Matt belongs at the Sharks.
Sign him Sludge and I dont care what you give him.

If you need any more proof that word is strong at Shark Park that MAttys return is imminent, see the results for yourself.

NOddys goal kicking tonight, amazing what a player who is threatened can do !

Nothing really new, but the Leader says Steve Rogers "has opened formal negotiations" with Rogers' manager. Rogers says he is "hopeful of getting a decision in about four weeks." The rest of the article has all been written before.

On a different note in the front of the paper, here's what Hurstville's new mayor thinks about her beautiful area: "If God's bulldozer flattened Hurstville - as long as no-one got hurt - I think we'd all be grateful for a chance to start again." :D

4 weeks! oh baby...bring it on

"If God's bulldozer flattened Hurstville - as long as no-one got hurt - I think we'd all be grateful for a chance to start again."

Well we all know where God resides, in the Shire, it's only the cost of a local call, the Worstville mayor needs to get on the phone

This looks promising.
I think it will come down to matty's family, which i feel is good for us :)

Interesting stuff...Frenzy was talking about this stuff weeks ago before it was in the papers...I wonder where that informative fellow has gotten to

Hmm I dunno if Steve Rogers actually supports the current board, werent the rumours going around that he was planning a run for the board for himself?

Or are you suggesting that he'd use it as a platform to run for the board PJ?

Is there not a conflict of interests in Steve negotiating with Mat?

I still have a feeling that Snr let Jnr go on personal not professional reasons.

In any event, I'd have Matty back, so long as we don't break the bank, he's extremely injury prone.

So far all this sounds very promising. It'd be great to have Matt back causing havoc for us and not playing on the wing.

Fingers crossed!

Steve didn't negotiate Matts last contract before he left. Barry Pierce did. I hope Steve does this time. This is the sort of nepotism we need. As for boosting the board, is there anyone running against them yet?
