More Classic Commentary from Senile Old Rabs

Watching the swimming today, Rabs came up with a clanger in the womens' 100m backstroke.

Kirsty Coventry won, apparently she's from Zimbabwia (my best guess at how he spells it). I only know that coz Ray kept repeating it.

I remember his debut commentating the swimming several years ago. He wasn't aware of the legs or order of the medley relay and enthusiastically announced that the leader had won the event when their swimmer touched, only to see the next girl dive in to complete the event.

Geez he's an embarrassment. And his colour commentators are just as dreadful, alternately failing to correct him and then making puerile comments of their own.

Give us a break.

Not so well, but then I'm not promoted by a TV station as an expert commentator and an icon of the game either.

Nothing wrong with Rabs commentary - listen to most commentators and they all make mistakes. Yep, Rabs may be getting on a bit but he still does as good if not better job than Voss. Vossy makes his fair share as well.....

Surely nine must have had a professional swimming commentator. But Rabs isn't too bad

every commentator makes mistakes. you can't expect them to be right all the time now can you? go rabs and go zimbabwia.:thumb

Rabs is the only commentator that can make a game exciting.

Although he does come up with a few bad calls a game he adds excitement, which is one thing Voss dosn't have.
