those two games were always in and they can be withdrawn, more importantly we are losing another home game. I realise that there is $ incentives to travel but the members could possibly now miss another game and more than likely against a high profile club i.e. Storm, broncos I bet they dont take a Raiders game over there!!

What do they say in business it is easier to look after your current customers than get new ones.

I don't mind it as the positives outweigh the negatives
+ More members join up as part of the Perth membership
+ More $ as part of the contract from the stadium

As for the Bulldogs and Eels withdrawing those games. I believe we have a contract with them anyway. As we do with NRL who guarantees 2 games against each per season so we can do the swap. This is because we are promoting the NRL nationally by having games over in Perth. It's all part of the package.

I would think that IF we do move 2 games to Perth it would be substituted with another away game becoming a home game. Maybe a Roosters or West Tigers swap.

The sell out continues.
Mate, to run a successful club that is competitive with the likes of Broncos and Dragons we need to maximize our earning capacity. That means taking games to Central Coast/Perth. Even Cronulla have caught on and taken a game over to NZ cause if they don't they will be as broke as we were back when we got kicked out of the comp. Souths are the best they've ever been financially and it's only getting better with memberships increasing every year. hardly "selling out"

derekmc, part of those 20k members are from Perth. We sell a specific membership for WA based fans to attend the 1 game in Perth we play every year.

And in return the rest of us non WA fans get TWO games that aren't our home games, for absolutely free. We get plenty of value for our membership.

Does this mean the WA Reds aren't gonna be readmitted? What difference would us playing a game out there make when they're supposed to soon get 12 a year?

Tell me Sara when do we say that we have already showcased our club & all the benefits of being a member in Perth & be satisfied that we have attracted another marketing tool to increase our membership through interstate support ?
Tell me when do we say that we have given the rugby league starved supporters in WA the chance to follow a recognised club in the game & be content to allow them the opportunity to build & develope their own side ?
And tell me when will Andrew Forrest & other prominent WA businessmen cease to push for Souths to play more games over in Perth without raising any concerns from members who question why it's in Perth that these interstate matches are being played as opposed to Adelaide or Darwin.

I was the first to suggest Souths play some games in Perth. Well before Russell borrowed my idea.

But I am not keen on Souths playing anymore then one game there. Management need to remember that the bulk of of Souths supporters live in Sydney.

I dont mind one game in Perth but two over there and one on the central coast is getting a bit much if it happens, dont want to end up like the Tiges with 4 grounds they play at. I have my 3 kids as members and every game taken out of Sydney is one the majority of fans miss out on.
Probably also just dissapointed how management has been doing things lately.

so.. if i read this right..

a rabbits member gets free entry into the ANZ games against the bulldogs and eels, which are the home games for that club. do you get the same seats? how does that work?

but.. if start with 12 home games... lose two.. gain two back, the net-net result is.... 12 home games...

i don't see how that is and extra "value" for membership.. it sounds exactly what the rest of the clubs members get..

Different seats for the away games against parra and the dogs.

I dont see how its any extra value, but it seems some just like a whinge for the sake of it.
